I need pain medications 24/7 but I definitely need
palliative
care
to step up and start making me more comfortable (this is my only goal now). Pain control is NOT Mayo Clinic’s strong suit.

Richter’s Transformation - Update 27-01-2021
The dramatic nature of the situation escalated when transplant doctors in Norway decided against a new Transplant and I was only offered
Palliative
care
. (My Haematologist was positive to another HSCT.) I was in good form and I started looking for options elsewhere in Europe, USA and China.

My "N of 1" trial with Ibrutinib + Idelalisib + Venetoclax that lead to remission of Richter's in three weeks.

Good news - Stage IIIB
My prognosis at the time was poor and I was told I was inoperable, terminal and treatable with
palliative
care
. Discussions were around chances of survival. Today, the oncologist was really happy and saying it was ‘incredible’ and that the more clear scans I have the less chance of recurrence.

Introducing myself to your Community.
life is limited, Zquality of life is poor and I e been placed on the
Palliative
Care
system with regular input from their nurses. I have strong religious faith, which is where my strength comes from. I talk very little to family and friends about my health.

Newbie. Advice needed
Also my mum is terrified they are only going to offer her
palliative
care
but surely they won’t? It’s not spread anywhere else in the body it’s only in the lungs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!

I am not able to stick to LCHF diet, At the same time, I don’t want to take insulin and tablets to bring down my T2 sugar levels. Is Stem Cell Therapy address my problem?

Thoughts on hypoxic brain injury recovery?
The hospital are suggesting
palliative
/ end of life
care
but that's very hard to process. My husband is an only child of a single parent so is utterly heartbroken. But we also know she wouldn't want to live this way.

I know where this is going to go in my heart of hearts but does anyone know in the uk when they decide
palliative
care
is needed or what the signs are of true end of life with liver disease?

The difficult question most all of us will face (Part II)
Just curious if anybody else has seen this after you go into
Palliative
care
. Thank you all for listening. I will continue to document. Not much else to do.

Just needing some validation
He is on
palliative
care
. He has eye problems, lesions, arthritic pain, balance issues and chronic mouth sores. He is depressed and feels alone. I tried to connect with the Behcets community in the US but it’s not responsive.

Dealing with the next chapter.
The
palliative
care
team will be in touch to let mum know the support they offer. It’s a really odd time, she’s trying to live normally but now it feels like we’re on borrowed time. The doctor said mum could survive ‘up to a year’ she was shocked at how well mum looked. No one has a crystal ball.

Continuing Liver Drama
Since then, I have received diagnosis after diagnosis as my body has deteriorated to such an extent that I am now receiving
Palliative
Care
, plus I have also been prescribed Liquid Morphine as certain aspects of my pain levels get to be too much. I am scared witless about having to use this.

She was in a great deal of pain, but they finally got the
palliative
care
meds right - lots of morphine - and the end, i can only hope, was painless. i feel like i have lost the meaning of my life.
