I just want it to end now
So I wrote a few weeks ago saying the end was close for mum as we were in
palliative
care
stage. Over the weekend mums been put on the syringe driver and it’s just awful , she’s so agitated despite stat doses in between and I just want this to end now. It’s awful see her like this.

Palliative

only. At first I was ok just trying to make the most of each day but finding it harder and harder to do this. Thinking about how long I’ve got , how fast I’ll deteriorate and how death will be Don’t know how to lift myself out of this

References for palliative/hospice care
Hi everyone, I just found this website today that has an extensive library of "fast facts" articles relating to
palliative
and hospice
care
. It's geared toward professionals but the articles are clearly written and should be very accessible to readers here. https://www.mypcnow.org/fast-facts/

What are your thoughts / experiences regarding SBRT versus using standard of
care
/
palliative
radiotherapy in mCRPC ? My radiation oncologist is saying that the SBRT could be curative while the other would be palliative.

Nearing the end
Joe refuses to go on hospice, but we have a
palliative
care
doctor (who is also a hospice physician) who comes to our home. We are no longer seeking treatment as the cancer has spread literally to every bone able to visualized.

Short of breath again
The dr also suggested putting me in touch with the
palliative
care
team as I have had disease progression recently, & I have agreed.

Useful write by an unknown lady saved in my system long back and forgotten by me!
As an addict of reading materials on health, this article I had saved but forgot it. After joining this group, I deep dived into my computer and found this. Written by a Tamil south Indian lady, few words may be new to a few. I am SHARING, WITH A REQUEST FOR THE READER'S OPINIONS only and not recommending

Dad still on ventilator with no improvement
The doctors/consultants have said there is not much more they can do in terms of treatments as they have tried all available options and that we should consider
palliative
care
. They have been extremely pessimistic throughout this ordeal which hasn't made things easier for us.

Is a sore throat a GCA symptom?
We think she probably had it for sometime but as my father was receiving full time
palliative
care
at home we were not as aware of her health issues as my dad was so poorly. She was put on Pred 15mgs and it worked initially like a dream.
