i was just put on two mg of ozempic and i was wondering if it helped or harmed?i read a recent study that says its beneficial to ckd people,another that warned against it.both my pcp and nephro gave the ok but wondering what to expect?

I have heard that OZEMPIC OR WEGOVY for weight loss might aslo be good for kidneys. I will discuss with my NEPH on next appointment. Does anyone have experiences with these weight loss drugs and CKD.

I am type 2 diabetic and went on ozempic as as a weight loss tool and to bring my sugar down. It is working but the side effects don't seem worth it. When my dosage of ozempic goes up The side effects come back. Does anyone have the same issues?

Hello all, I’ve been approved Rituximab which I should start in a couple of weeks, however I am currently taking Mounjaro (The GLP-1 drug for weight loss - similar to ozempic/wegovy).

Have you become pregnant while taking Ozempic or any of the other GLP- 1 weight loss drugs, having previously been experiencing infertility? Do you think it boosted your fertility?

Started OZEMPIC 0.5 mg once a week a number of months ago. My BS ended up very low and stable. Started 25mg PRED few days ago, blood sugar rises from 7-8 to 15 a few hours after dinner each night. Next morning when I wake up its down to 7-8 again.

Hi My Hba1c has just gone upfront 46 to 51 about 4 years ago it was about 39 , it had gone down from 44 after loosing weight on slimming world , but I regained the 3and a half stone I had lost before , Been on and of S.W for years and it just doesn’t work for me anymore, I am desperate to loose weight

Nephrologist took me off metphormin (500mg daily) and is starting me on ozempic per New England journal of medicine study. Wants to wait a month and test levels again before doing biopsies. What tips would help me with my lowering my protein levels. Gfr is 47. Much appreciated!!

i was prescribed ozempic 2 mg last week and noticing a pain in my left side.both pcp and nephro assured me it was ok to take.came across an article on my news feed detailing kidney damage and lawsuits as well as gastrointestinal damage.i think im going to have a chat with two doctors tomorrow.
