Nikos64 said "Zepbound DEFINITELY makes my RLS worse." A couple people on the forum said it didn't. Https://reddit.com/search/?q=Mounja... people discussing it said it made RLS worse.
It affects electrolyte balance so can make RLS worse so increase magnesium and potassium. It may interfere with sleep.
If you stop it, your weight will come back. goodrx.com/wegovy/what-happ... Another study said that people who stopped gained 2/3 of their weight back within a year ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
I’ve only been on it for 4 weeks
Does it make your RLS worse? If it is going to I would expect you would know by now.
Something has made it unbearable. That’s the most recent change to anything that I’ve done
Sue, is there a fairly complete list of RLS triggers somewhere?
You may have seen this : This my list but it doesn't cover everything like medicines and OTC supplements of which I have a list that's 24 pages long.
Some things that can make RLS symptoms worse for some people are alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, sugar, artificial sweeteners, carbs, foods high in sodium(salt), foods that cause inflammation, ice cream, eating late at night, oestrogen (estrogen) including HRT, dehydration, MSG, collagen supplements, electrolyte imbalance, melatonin, stress and vigorous exercise.
Some things that help some people include caffeine, moderate exercise, weighted blankets, compression socks, elastic bandages, masturbation, magnesium glycinate, fennel, low oxalate diet, selenium, 5 minute shower alternating 20 seconds cold water with 10 seconds hot water finishing with hot water for another couple of minutes, hot baths, distractions, CBD, applying a topical magnesium lotion or spray, doing a magnesium salts soak, vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12, C, D3, K2, if deficient, and potassium and copper if deficient, massage including using a massage gun, vibration devices like therapulse, using a standing desk, listening to music, meditation and yoga. Keep a food diary to see if any food make your RLS worse.
Many medicines and OTC supplements can make RLS worse. If you are taking any and you list them here, I can tell you if any make RLS symptoms worse and if so may be able to give you a safe substitute.
I have just seeen that Ozempic and the related drugs rlease dopamine and have been found to reduce cravings. With them becoming such common medications we are going to have to watcg this space closely.
