Anyone have any catheter experience?? I’ve had an indwelling in since last April, nurse came to change this afternoon as planned four weekly. Took her an hour to get it in as I have bad scar tissue. But now, I’m in real bad pain. I know catheters are uncomfortable but never been this bad before? Any

CT vs Breast cancer risk
I need to have another CT and am worried about radiation exposure to my breasts. My mom had breast cancer at 85 and lived cancer-free to the ripe age of 96 cancer-free. However, she didn't have another cancer.

Provenge Advice
I'm PCa for 13+ years and Stage 4 for the past 3+. On ADT (Lupron or equiv. only). PSA climbed to 2.1 in Dec. 2019 and Oncologist suggested Provenge before we consider Zytiga or another second tier drug. I was just notified that insurance has approved the Provenge treatment. It seems I am going with

Interesting GP appt (update to ESR/CRP post)
A couple of days ago I asked for a link to the research on the 20% or so of us who develop PMR without raised ESR or CRP levels. Thanks to PMRPro and the others who replied. Armed with this, I asked my GP why at the last appointment, with a trainee GP sitting in, she introduced me as “appeared to develop

Flutamide, bicalutamide, nilutamide, apalutamide or enzalutamide?
According to the cancer.gov fact sheet for Hormone Therapy for Prostate Cancer, there are 5 types of CAB, Complete Androgen Blockade. I've been on bical. for about 20 months. However, against advice, I have not had radiation nor surgery. The combo I'm using is finasteride, tamsulosin and bicalutamide

Double J Stent and Starting Chemo
It is interesting times here. I'm still recovering from surgery to put in a chemo port and a ureter stent, and starting chemo for NEPC tomorrow morning. Very eager to be going on the offensive. Question for the forum: Does anybody else here have any experience with a "Double J stent"? Mine is working
