Endo and bladder issues
Was diagnosed through laparoscopy in October 2019. Pain and symptoms have been the same since. I had one endo patch excised and one ablated. It was done at a specialist endo Centre by a specialist surgeon in the North West. They didn’t give me a follow up appointment or even see me after. Just sent me

Drugs before dx
Urologist had me on Tamsoluson and Terazosin before do to help with urination. In light of these drugs may cause a more aggressive form of Pca and I’m still on Tamsoluson is there a chance that this drug is now feeding my cancer?

Doctors know best.
I had to have a colonoscopy recently and having had previous colonoscopies, I knew that my RLS legs were always a problem. I live in the USA and they use Propofol, which knocks me out but makes my Restless legs really bad. So, I explained this to the Doctor and the anesthetic person. They said “

Leukocyte telomere length is associated with aggressive prostate cancer in localized prostate cancer patients.
Interesting new study from MD Anderson, below [1]. Leukocytes are white blood cells - important players in the immune response. Telomeres are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes. They are mostly comprised of repeating sequences. When cells divide, there is a loss of one or more of the sequences

I cured myself of PMR without Steriods.
THIS IS NOT A TREATMENT THAT PMR/GCAUk RECOMMENDS. Yellowbluebell, moderator I was diagnosed with PMR last Jan. 2019. I did not take any steroids but I did take Chinese herbal supplements, changed my diet to more vegetarian and used yoga and Tai Chi as my ways of stretching my body. I took the supplements

HEART HOLDING UP
I have not posted for some time. My heart condition seems to be doing ok despite a spate of sudden health issues. First I was diagnosed with bladder cancer (just had my 2nd op) two days ago and in 10 days time will undergo eye stents for glaucoma. Has anyone else suffering from the latter two health

What is major source of PSA Expression after ADT Vacation?
Once one has become PSA undetectable, with prostate zapped with IMRT, and goes on ADT vacation what is the most likely cause of increased PSA expression? Micro tumors in blood? Remnants of prostate tumor (if any), or existing mets?

Treatment Resistance. Enzalutamide & Exenatide (synthetic exendin-4).
New cell study below [1]. Treatment resistance begins on day 1 of treatment. Cells under attack have a variety of survival strategies to fall back on. Activation of the the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway is fairly common [2]. I have long wondered why PCa drugs don't come paired with drugs to inhibit resistance

Immune Discovery 'may treat all cancer' - A potential new breaktrough in CRISPR T-cell Immunotherapy - BBC - 20 January 2020
A very long way from human application, but a possible major advance in CAR-T that would make it available to many more patients - and in lab tests it works on PCa. From the BBC Article: What have they found? Our immune system is our body's natural defence against infection, but it also attacks

niclosamide - UC Davis Clinical Trial......in edit, what about artemisinin, which works for dogs with bone cancer?
Given frequent blood tests, etc., you'd think UC Davis would know by now if the 'more bioavailable' niclosamide they're using in this trial is working, right?!! You'd think they'd share their findings asap??? https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?recrs=ab&cond=Prostate+Cancer&term=niclosamide&cntry

Hi. I had a colonoscopy yesterday but they could only see the sigmoid left side because apparently i had a loop and could not go past it with pain. I was sedated but I felt some pain however I did not realise how i reacted to the pain. It was like I felt pain in my sleep. They decided to not go on and
