For the past nine months or so I've have cystitis around seven times, always needing antibiotics to clear up. I've also suffered from constipation three times severe enough to need prescription meds to clear. I've begun to notice the constipation comes around the time of my period. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I've stupidly goggled this and I've seen that there are links. Normally I'd go to the GP (and ask for a referral) but that's not possible just now so I wondered if there's anything I can be doing till things get back to normal.

Endo, cystitis and constipation
Hiya, I went through a stage of having UTI's around 6 times a year for 2 years. I would have to take antibiotics every time because it would not go away on it's own and the cystitis relief sachets never touched it. I'm sure of it's links to endo but if you have endo on your urinary tract it might explain it. With getting constipated around your period that is pretty normal. It either goes one way or the other because of the hormones released around the time of your period. For me I wouldn't have any movement for the entire week I was on my period, either that or it goes the other way because 'period poops' are a thing. It's normally to do with prostaglandins, the hormone that causes your uterus to contract. After my laparoscopy my UTI's have barely returned but it's different for most people.
Hope this helps xx
Thanks for your reply. I've had endometriosis for going on 20 years and had my second op three years ago. These symptoms are only about nine months old and I guess the constipation is confusing because I've never had issues before and it's come along at the same time as the cystitis. I know it'll need following up I'm just worried as I don't know how long till I can get to the GP. Thanks again.
For contraption use pro biotic .or triphla
For endometriosis use moringa tea ones a day .and do some yoga
