Psyllium Husk - strange bowel movements
I have an underactive thyroid gland (hashimotos) and struggle with constipation even though I’m on levothyroxine and my blood shows my levels are fine. About two weeks ago I started taking psyllium husk capsules - 2 per day with a glass of water as per the instructions. For the first week it made a huge

I'm new here! Fresh out of surgery 24 hrs ago
hello ! I'm 63. Had uterus and fallopian tubes removed and bladder attached to ligaments 24 hours ago. Back pain has been a real issue. Also: venting here, but my bladder was still numb at time of discharge so I couldn't void. Sent home with a catheter...anyone else feel as if they got the bums rush?

Everything about Prostate Cancer
I’m a care giver for my dad. He is 80. He has always been healthy and workout. No previous diseases or illness before this. He started with not being able to urinate back in November, which landed him in the ER. They put in a Foley catheter and prescribed (Flomax)(tamsulosin) daily pill to help

Gastro panel test
I had this blood test done today, hoping it would give me some view why I am not absorbing vitamins. https://www.medica-tradefair.com/en/GastroPanel%C2%AE_Quick_Test Anyone else had this or similar test? It also tempted me as it tells something about the level of gastric acids. I wanted to do PA tests

Concerned over dates
Hello, So I was wondering if anyone could pass on some advice or positive thoughts! This is the first time I have fallen pregnant naturally. I have had two rounds of IVF one failed and second one ended in MMC. This pregnancy was unplanned so a surprise. I have long cycles (anywhere between 33-37 days

Radiation to lymph nodes after failure of SRT to prostate bed
I have researched to the best of my ability to find out if radiation can be done to lymph nodes in general or to specific lymph nodes(based on advanced scanning results showing metastasis) after prostate bed SRT failure. I am most likely heading towards a BCR in the near future after my SRT of 40 months

Medical bill for hormone treatment
I am a prostate cancer patient. I am getting Degarelix and Xgeva injections. The doctor's office sent me a bill amounting $2600 which is the deductible from Anthem blue cross. I am covered at the same time by Medicare. It seems I have to pay only 20 per cent of the $2600. But they insists I am responsible

Mast cell activation
Hi everyone. I'm sharing the first part of my interview with Dr. Tina Peers on her approach to treating mast cell activation syndrome, a common comorbidity of EDS. It took me a long time to find a doctor who knows the condition and was willing to be interviewed. I hope you find it helpful. Future interviews

Brevinor or Norimin?
Ladies has anyone tried Brevinor or Norimin combined pill please? I have been on Loestrin 30 for many years with no issues but it's now been discontinued unfortunately. Looking for similar low estrogen pill as Microgynon made me feel awful when I tried that before so don't want it again. Thanks.

Needing Advice
Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. To give you some background, my dad was diagnosed with stage IVb prostate cancer/Gleason 9 in October 2018. Prostatectomy not an option for local and peritoneal Mets at that time. Underwent 6 rounds of taxotere, responded SO well with minimal side effects

Suggestions please. Pull up pants out of stock and running low on supplies
I’m sad our overstretched NHS can’t pay for any pants as
overactive
bladder
is treatable. (No improvements after 2.5 years so far). I’m more angry that companies can deal with incontinence products like this...

Pelvic pain with the onset of menstrual cycle
Hello! I was diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction about a year ago. With PT every three weeks and daily stretching exercises I have had some improvement. I am finding symptoms return or are amplified before the onset of my period. Does anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? The pain

RP v. RT ... yet again
New Canadian study below [1]. It's a divisive topic. Studies show that men are more likely to opt for RT (radiation therapy) if they first go to an oncologist, whereas men are more likely to opt for RP (radical prostatectomy) if they first see a urologist. There are bias allegations against urologists

Sleepnot
Is it well known if we tense up during sleep if you have fibromyalgia? I have had a rotator cuff repair recently, but pain is worse at night. It feels like I have been tensing my whole body in my sleep, when I get to sleep or I keep waking up.
