After 15 months of reoccurring UTI from hell the nurse at my GP finally agreed I had sepsis.as it comes back if I’m not constantly pretty much on antibiotics.Although UTI from hell keeps coming neck I’ve done many urine tests and cancer,Prostate,Etc.My symptoms are weird infection feeling it starts by making me wee more or with difficulty. Then goes up into abdomen kidneys liver. Then to my heart every time it comes on it attacks my organs.Last week I got some more trimethoprim which again I have been on and off since early last year. Also in the first 6 months cefalexin.I had some very burning pains today in a kind of shooting line sometimes abdomen sometimes between kidney and liver.my bowel movements diarrhoea happens every time when it comes on.Im not on the correct antibiotic but it does help keep it at bay. However I really need the right antibiotics through IV but how can I chance hospital and there so overrun with this virus no idea what todo.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.I also have an extreme salty taste in my mouth in the morning.Together with quite severe headaches when it comes on.It hides in your bladder cells. And reoccurs trying to make my organs fail.Ive only figured this out after months of searching through the internet.

Could you please post your most recent thyroid results as I suspect they are not optimum. I have been down this route and getting my T3 at a proper level was like a miracle. It was under range and nobody had bothered to check in spite of months of misery. I needed to take T3 in addition to T4 and you may be the same. In the meantime, take a look at D. Mannose by Sweet Cures. It is recognised as being as useful as antibiotics for UTI and you can also take a maintenance dose every night, once the infection is clear.
Thanks very much hennerton. The Dr will call me tom.I was ready Togo for recent thyroid test just as the outbreak got hold.As I have AF,copd,And if it’s not T3 and T4 it’s sepsis all the symptoms point too that.A chronic reoccurring UTI from hell turns into sepsis.I have got dr manosse but never took for long enough maybe !
When I was in Africa I had suspected malaria and was given IV antibiotics in the GP surgery. I am wondering, in these times, if you could have similar at home?
Can't offer any advice I'm afraid, but your journey through this sounds horrendous. Best of luck.
My Mom had sepsis in November from a bladder infection . It can turn serious. Maybe it would be possible to get the IV antibiotics at home through a home health care nurse.
Thanks foul play it’s def sepsis that’s all it can be I hope the dr can arrange I now know what IV antibiotic I need as a distant relative told me on social media yesterday. She has been through a year of it and same symptoms same journey. Now she is well.Re-occurring UTI is sepsis severe ecoli. Its horrible stay well everyone 🙏
That is what my mother had ecoli bladder infection that turned to ecoli blood infection. She was on IV antibiotics for 10 days . She had many other health issues and is 81but made a full recovery . I’m sure when you get the right antibiotics you will too!
Hello Danny44
Over the past 9 months I have experienced much of what you have described (although not all) – therefore our situations are not entirely like for like. However, because of the similarities I thought I would respond to your post. I have also been going through many investigations and I have recently been given the provisional diagnosis of Glomerulonephritis. Has the possibility of this condition been considered for you? If it hasn’t then it may be worth looking it up to see what you think. I eventually got to see a Nephrologist and during my first general discussion with him he mentioned the possibility of me being prescribed a six-month continuous course of antibiotics. He told me that this was something which used to done about 30 years ago but had fallen out of favour (as things do). However, as is often the case, this approach was now being considered once again and I mention it because I note that you have put that you have been on and off antibiotics and I therefore wondered whether a continuous course for six months might be an approach that could be tried for you and something you could raise with your Specialist or GP as a possible way forward. All the best.
Hey Mary,
That’s interesting I will look at that condition online. Its just the fact that it started as a UTI from hell and then took hold.Im on a 3 month of trimethoprim
atm it’s just not the right antibiotics i took a double dose as felt rubbish this am.Feel bit better but still getting weird stomach.Burny pancreas and some kidney pain.I just hate it I need to know what’s wrong.Have too see what the surgery say when they call.TY will post if and when I know but the similarity of symptoms is very interesting.need todo a stool urine and blood sample grow culture find out but now I can’t see that happening so god knows.
There is something called Interstital cystitis and Nonbacterial Prostatitis they both cause UTI symptoms but when urinalysis is taken there is no sign of infection my doctor had never heard of IC You could also look at the work of a professor James Malone Lee an expert in recurrent bladder infections and the Cystitis & Overactive Bladder Foundation (COB) for short who I have found to be very helpful
