Deaf with tinnitus
My tinnitus was already at level 8/10 almost unbearable. My hearing aids with white noise helped a little and headphones listening to nature sounds like a babbling brook make it about bearable enough to read a book. Last week i developed a chronic infection in my left ear which has perforated my ear drum.I

Teva to Activis
Hi, I've been taking Teva Levothyroxine since diagnosed hypo for 3 years....no side effects. My pharmacist gave me Activis, Northstar which I have taken for 9 days. I noticed slight headaches throughout the days leading up to this morning when I woke up at 5.15am with a headache and feeling nauseous.

What is best hearing aids for me?
Hello, I’ve been suffering from hearing loss for a long time now. I am a truck driver. I move around a lot. So, I want a hearing aid that is hard to lose. I know there are different types of hearing aids. I want something, not easily noticeable. I think CIC or ITC will be a perfect fit for me. I heard

Pycnogenol and Tinnitus
I am looking into alternatives for the aspirin I now need to take daily. One of the products I've come across is pycnogenol. I am looking for a blood anti-coagulant but found some very interesting stuff about pycnogenol and tinnitus that I thought it might be good to share on the forum. It seems that

Swollen gums + prednisolone
I have been experiencing intermittent gum swelling lately, I don’t really notice until I eat something and today it really hurt after I ate! I read that prednisolone can cause gum swelling, I am on 8mg at the moment, is that still high enough to cause side effects?? I have had many side effects on

Can anyone give advice on one sided deafness and a BiCROS hearing aid?
I am so glad to have found this page! I discovered I was going deaf at the start of this year - I was finding it difficult to understand conversations in crowded places and had white noise tinnitus in one ear only. I visited Specsavers - who tested my ears and said I needed more than just a normal hearing

Objective pulsating tinnitus - at 4 years old
New to this site, only 3 weeks ago when cuddling my 4 year old son did I hear a noise coming out of his ear....the shock! I found it was coming out of both ears, a pulsating buzzing sound. When I asked him what that sound was (not mentioning his ears at all) he replied to say it was his special ear noise

Still screaming into and now punching my pillow 😠
Oh I was so looking forward to my rheumy appointment but to get a phone call from appointments office 36 hours prior cancelling. I rang my rheumy secretary on said day if appointment and got told she did not know why it had been cancelled. Now that made my already fuelled temper sky rocket out if all

ET procedure helped my tinnitus
Just wanted to share with the community my experience which suggests that in some people Eustachian Tube Dysfunction may play a role in tinnitus. I’ve had tinnitus for the last 12 years. It’s never gone away but some days are much worse than others. About 5 years ago I also developed an ET problem in

Caraway Oil - It DOES work!!
My darling Wife has always been in tune with seeds & stuff, especially since beating her cancer back in 2008, so I listened when she said "were you aware that caraway Seed Oil is good for releasing mucus?", to which I replied no of course, but then gave it a try for a week, just 3mg dropped onto the

Well I gave the hospital a call and they don't have a cancellation appointment list but they said I can call them as often as I want to check for cancellations.. My GP said he can't hurry my appointment up as they are extremely busy (which I do understand). He took me off naproxen and gave me celecoxib
