BP drop after MRI scan
I had an MRI scan of my back and pelvis early this afternoon. This evening and tonight on checking my BP I had of readings of 90/62 and heart rate 65 and 96/53 81. Last night it was a more normal 136/88 82. I have not had a BP med today as I take it at night. I don't see how the scan could have caused

I am 64 this year and found out last year I had Pulmonary hypertension. I have always been an active person and I think that is the reason for me to live longer than the Doctor thinks I will. Olmesartan medoxomil - a type II ATR antagonist, or angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). . . . . used to reduce high blood pressure.
Is anyone reading this ( - or known to him/her) taking this ? A "yes" from one to two members would be very helpful and most appreciated ! This is available as a number of generics, including Olmecip by Cipla and Olmesmart by Dr Reddy's. Sid Arthur

caused by anxiety since I had a similar incident during blood donation 30 years ago. I was evaluated in the emergency room and released after a few hours. Questions after reading clinical literature: 1.

Anyone here on Diltiazem for pulmonary arterial hypertension?
Hi, consultant wants me to start taking Diltiazem (a calcium channel blocker) as I proved to be vasoreactive to it during my last right heart catheterisation. I am concerned about the dose he wants me to work up to in a very short space of time...especially as it does NOT agree with the guidelines issued

Diabetes and high blood pressure . . . .
Is there an association between diabetes and high blood pressure - or a known correlation? High blood pressure can be reduced by many drugs, including anti-hypertensive agents in the sub-group known as angiotensin type II receptor blockers. One drug in this sub-group is olmesartan, available as a generic

The KISS Principle.
With the toing and froing of the various regimes presented here there is one unassailable fact. If you are a type 2 diabetic it is because of your diet and lifestyle, and unless you identify and eliminate the foods that have caused your disease then you are faced with a lifetime of medicines and a deterioration

Early morning hypertension/headaches
My primary care doctor and rheumatologist know I have
orthostatic
hypotension
. The physical therapist encouraged me to stabilize my head with pillows before going to sleep in case I position my head in a weird position during the night.
