Trouble with anxiety meds today.
They can take up to 3 weeks or even longer to work. Something the sufferer doesn't want to hear at a time when they are having these awful feelings. Diazepam or Valium are fantastic and can work very fast but sadly taking them after a few days or even the next day will not have the same desired effect

High Blood pressure pills
Hi, About a month ago I stopped taking my BP medication - Lisinipril. I've had this Rx for many years but always felt that it made me a bit tired and perhaps contributes to having a hard time falling asleep and headaches. My BP is better after adrenalectomy, but it's not great (avg: 140/100) so I still

hypertension and apixaban
Hi everyone, Despite 3 types of meds to control my hypertension, over the last months it's been creeping up to unacceptable levels (170/95 to 100/95 resting at home with a reliable machine) My GP has upped med dosages but so far to no avail. I'm on apixaban and I'm concerned about brain bleeds etc.

Sleeping Problems
Hi. I wanted to know if anyone had some good tips for sleeping well? My quality of sleep is not good most nights. I am trying to come off the last bits of Valium I've been taking but am finding I wake feeling anxious most mornings. I am also on Mirtazapine anti-depressant which does help a bit. I like

Portal Hypertension
Can someone explain to me what child Pugh A portal hypertension is? I have some scarring of the liver, hence some cirrhosis. I have had a biopsy but they cannot find a cause, maybe autoimmune related.

Born with Biliary Atresia
I was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia 2 months after I was born, I lived in a small town and the doctors there had no idea what was wrong so I was transported to Iowa City, where they informed my parents about the disease, there was a doctor from England who knew a little bit about the disease and

Every medication seems to give me awful side effects. G.P. seems disinterested
Latest side effect of Losartan is dizziness resulting since April 2015in Colles fracture of left wrist. Less than one week after removal of cast tripped and could not recover balance, resulting in soft tissue injury of left hand and three more weeks of plaster cast. On 25th December bent down to pick

Organ donations vetoed by hundreds of bereaved families
Hi Cold And snow here, Was reading the news this morning and this caught my eye. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-35304105 On the face of it this seems innocuous enough , They want to limit the power of next of kin to refuse organ donation even if the person who died had consented at some point in

I want to be a good mum again? :(
With suffering anxiety & panic attacks, it is RULING my life! My daughter does not deserve this. My question mainly is, any mums or dads out there that feel like me? Feel like a complete failure because I can't even sit by the pool & watch my girl swim, can't go to the shops? My sister had to take her
