My latest diagnosis is pulmonary hypertension and my pulmomologist has advised that the only other possible treatment for me is a lung transplant. Are any of you suffering from pulmonary hypertension or have any of you considered such an option? Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.

COPD/Pulmonary Hypertension diagnosis
My doctor has told me there are 3 drugs on market that they use for this, if you haven't already tried them, then I suggest you get a second opinion before you have any surgery done. I have 2 doctors who think I have it and my cardio who isn't convinced. I go Friday for the heart cath to either rule in or rule out.
LORBIC Thank you for your reply. My pulmonary hypertension diagnosis was confirmed with a right heart catheterization in May 2015. Since then I have been treated with sildenphil (generic viagra) but that didn't work for me. It caused a great amount of fluid retention in feet and legs with no other improvements. Wishing you well and good luck with the catherization.
Thank you for letting me about sildenafil, that is the drug the doctors have mentioned to me. I know there is also epoprostenol ( Prostanoids) bosentan and ambrisentan which are Endothelin receptor antagonists and Calcium channel blockers, such as dilitiazem. Cardio has told PC to change me to Dilitiazem for my angina and blood pressure. That will happen next week. I know there are others on other sites that have had lung transplants and they say they are doing better but I know they have to go be checked often.
I have just been diagnosed with COPD,I also have hypertension, and they have done CT scan to look at nodule 6 cm in size.Next step is for them to read scan and waiting to take test on breathing(assuming this is to see how much lung are working).
Viagra is one of the preferred supplement for the treatment of PAH along with erection problem. This drugs helps to open the blood vessels and allow smooth blood flow easily. Though before taking the pills it is important to consult your doctor and get proper prescription.
