Orthostatic hypotension

I have orthostatic hypotension, so some of the meds that are available to treat Nocturia, are unavailable to me. I just read that extended release Carbidopa/Levodopa taken at bedtime could be a solution. Anyone know anything about this?

I had a tilt table test today and was diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension type 3. Apparently I was supposed to last 20 minutes but only lasted 3 after the GTN spray was administered 🫠 the test was at 9am and spray administered around 9:45.

My question is, could I really have had orthostatic hypotension 16 years and only show up with MSA now? I feel like any minute I could die, my oxygen on oximeter is running lower (96) than usual. I feel like I’m in a nightmare. Surreal is the state of my life right now.

Re. the dizziness -- orthostatic hypotension (OH) and any ear problem have been ruled out as causes.

But now we’re experiencing orthostatic hypotension, which is basically low blood pressure. He has a loss of appetite that also contribute to his medication. I wanted to take him off the medication and try alternative solution.

I do suffer from orthostatic hypotension and constipation as I feel these are all connected via the autonomic nervous system.

Hello, I had the pvi ablation some 3 weeks ago. Had dizzyness after standing up for 2-3 years i believe (feel like going on 2mad diet routine helped it), but didnt have lower blood pressure on record. Usually it was always 120/60 or 120/70. I thought that the dizzyness was maybe from the heart not working

But Im wondering if it would also help with orthostatic hypotension that he has developed in the last 3 years. Thanks to all who gave us info on the OH, very helpful.

I continued to have fainting episodes and was then diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension. My heart rate rises by 50bpm upon standing and gradually drops back down, when I am in the shower etc it raises to 160/170bpm. My GP has since put me on a calcium channel blocker for the heart rate..

On Thursday I went very dizzy/confused and started slurring my words, my son thought I was having a stroke, an ambulance was called and I was admitted out on a drip for fluids. 3 diff doctors examined me but couldn’t hear a heart murmur, however I now have pre syncope caused by orthostatic hypotension

I have other associated AI conditions such as LS, DC and IC , gastric distress and recently diagnosed with Orthostatic Hypotension but I doubt this thinking vestibular migraine instead.

I have recently been diagnosed with orthostatic Hypotension after experiencing double vision,dizziness & numbness in extremities. my meds were changed as I had been given a drug which lowers my Blood Pressure & I was already on a Beta Blocker which also lowers BP.

Two weeks ago dizziness which might be due to orthostatic hypotension. Occurred the first time after floor exercises. Seeing the neuro in 10 days time. However, checking through the meds it seems as if the azilect/rasagaline can cause the hypotension.
