Does anyone out there suffer from
orthostatic
hypotension
. I take c/l 25/100 -2tabs 6x/day and 1 tab c/l ER at bedtime. The medicine is causing my B/P to drop. But now, I'm taking Midodrine 2.5 mg 3x's/day to bring it back up and it's making me very sick.

Fighting the gremlins...
I started out in May weighing 155 pounds and two weeks ago I was down to 144 pounds - only 7 pounds from my goal of 137. My weight loss has been slow at around half a pound a week but that was fine by me. Over the past twenty weeks I have run at least 5K three times a week and increased my strength training

Various BP readings.
I have essential hypertension for well over 30 years and up to last year it was kept under control with Indapamide. Last year I developed AF and my blood pressure rose. After trying various treatments which had unacceptable side effect I now take Spironlactone as well as Indapamide and my pressure

Anyone have a child on transplant list?
My 10 year old son has pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary vein stenosis. He has had lung transplant assessment in august this year. The doctors feel it is time to put him on the active list however are unable to give us a timeline without transplant as they have no way of knowing how quickly he will

That was scary and

A primer on orthostatic hypotension and a question
I've been increasingly troubled by the near fainting spells caused by my
orthostatic
hypotension
. I think Washington's summer heat and humidity has something to do with it. I've done a good bit of research on this and put together a "primer on
orthostatic
hypotension
" for my own use.

Enlarged Spleen
I have an enlarged spleen since I was told last year. Went through Chemo for Ovarian cancer and finished treatment back in May. When I went through Chemo I was given carboplatin which gave me a dragging sensation below the ribs. Now I am thinking it could be the spleen. It comes and goes and is affected

Blood pressure (back of eyes test) kidney related issues
Have anyone ever had a test done to check the back of the eyes to check vessels due to high blood pressure? If so please can you tell me of your own experience. thank you. As long term high blood pressure can do damage to kidneys, my neph said that to see how the blood pressure is doing overall - by

My wildly fluctuating blood pressure Is also dismissed as non-PD related as I don’t have the typical
orthostatic
hypotension
– my b.p. swings, apparently randomly, from 80/47 to 140/95, often within a few minutes, regardless of what I’m doing.
