Blood pressure (back of eyes test) kidney related issues
Have anyone ever had a test done to check the back of the eyes to check vessels due to high blood pressure? If so please can you tell me of your own experience. thank you. As long term high blood pressure can do damage to kidneys, my neph said that to see how the blood pressure is doing overall - by

My wildly fluctuating blood pressure Is also dismissed as non-PD related as I don’t have the typical
orthostatic

– my b.p. swings, apparently randomly, from 80/47 to 140/95, often within a few minutes, regardless of what I’m doing.

I may need blepharoplast (eyelid surgery). I was diagnosed in March with PAF, & (knock wood) haven't had an event since. I taking apixopan & verapamil. My EP thinks it will be safe for me to stop the abixipan two days before the surgery & take it up again when the ocular plastic physician says it

How to use the finger pricker properly!
Tomorrow I'm going to do a finger pricker test kit for B12, folate and ferritin (and have another for D3 as well if I can get enough blood!). Anyway last time I tried this I had a lot of problems using the Blue Horizon finger prickers that have blue bottoms and white tops. Maybe I just panicked (certainly

Is it true there is no cure for diabetes. I questioned research done by scientists for a very long time. How come they have never found a cure for diabetes. I have been on metformin for the past 5 years. My gp has told me that I have to be on it for life. Tell me that there is a cure out there for

Hello
Hi everyone, thought I'd say hello. Just started the 12 week plan after realizing at 51yrs old I am now 10st 3lb, GP say's I'm borderline diabetic and have raised blood pressure. I want to reduce these by my next appointment in 3 week for a check up. I don't want to end up on medication to control either

Whats a safe oral med after getting off insulin?
I've been on victoza & lever for about 3 years now. My a1c over that time has gone from 9.2 to now a 6.7. I've lost 30 pounds & have a healthier lifestyle now which includes exercise & eating better. I take Hyzaar for my bp. I was diagnosed with early kidney disease after my first son. I've been in metformin

New app for diabetics using insulin
If you have Type 1, or are Type 2 and using insulin, then the Predict bgl all (links below) is an awesome free app that can really help you understand your blood sugars, your insulins and your food. It may even give you better information than your doctor! iTunes - http://itunes.apple.com/app/id980437930

COPD/Pulmonary Hypertension diagnosis
My latest diagnosis is pulmonary hypertension and my pulmomologist has advised that the only other possible treatment for me is a lung transplant. Are any of you suffering from pulmonary hypertension or have any of you considered such an option? Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
