Dual organ transplant better than one?
we've heard that, since he is diabetic, he might get a kidney transplant sooner if he gets on the list for both a pancreas and a kidney transplant. Is that true? Has anyone experienced that?

Health in the land of unintended consequences. Do you know about the risks of dietary supplements?
It is a critical part of protecting tissues unless it becomes chronic which often then leads to
organ
damage
. So what could tooth enamel have to do with the immune system? This is a fascinating example of unintended consequences.

They were able to more effectively taper their daily corticosteroid dose, the use of which can cause

in these patients. More patients who received IFN-alpha Kinoid (54.4%) were able to reduce their steroid use to 5 mg a day or less, compared with those treated with placebo (39%).

The therapy of saying "Hello" and telling my story. Wolf as strength not enemy, art as therapy, time for positive change, healing :)
Luckily I don't have any
organ
damage
at present - I really do feel I have done my best to save myself from this fate by being relentless in my pursuit of a diagnosis - fingers crossed the meds will help save me from that fate.

Cheeky 6.5k run
Well woke up feeling good so I had a lovely morning run. I seem to be getting better at covering 5k in 30 mins now. My avage pave was 10min a mile so I was happy with that. I track my runs with MapMyFitness and I’ve noticed that my mile time are improving a lot. So here’s to my next run and good luck

Home Recovery after 4 weeks in ICU

Still ticking after stopping treatment

What I wish I had known about liver disease
Liver
damage
can lead to other
organ
damage
(e.g. pancreas, heart, etc.) and diabetes, heart, digestion and brain problems among other things. While it is way better than death, life after a liver transplant is not a cake walk with all of the pills you have to take, higher risk of infection, etc.

Diabetes Medication and Kidney damage a Myth
It is a well know fact that the root cause of
organ
damage
due to diabetes is the improper management of ones blood sugar level . Due to ignorance, prolonged elevated levels of medium to high blood sugars can cause serious damage.

Considering a transplant? Better call Mariel
