Hubby was fine about it . They was a guy there whoā€™d had a six organ transplant omg heā€™d been in 7 weeks but looked fantastic . If you goggle Msn who had 6 organ transplant from Belfast you can read his story . Absolutely fantastic . So just wondering after the first call how long did it take for the next ??? Xxx

Hi

Sorry to hear liver wasn't suitable, hope your hubby gets call asap. Take care xxxx

I got 4 calls in 5 weeks so if his blood type is widely compatible, it should be soon. Fingers crossed for you šŸ¤ž

It certainly does but I was in hospital anyway so I was constantly distracted. If you can keep yourselves busy it's definitely the best way x

Am doing really well thanks. Scar has healed really well, such a neat job. Still a few aches and tenderness but itā€™s early days still.

Before you know it youā€™ll have your old hubby back and fighting fit.

Thatā€™s fantastic news x

Hi Debski, got my first call which was a no go, and the the one I had been waiting for about 5 days later. ā€œRay, if this liver is half as good as they are telling us, itā€™s got your name written all over itā€ well if it has itā€™s in somebody elseā€™s bodyā€as I haemmoraged almost immediately and they fought like crazy to keep me alive. The haemorrhage was caused by an original resection scar which they had to open to get to my liver. 15 months later I am still here to tell the tale with my old liver still doing itā€™s thing. I write about the whole experience as part of my blog and the relevant one is called ā€œThe transplant or notā€ 1liver1life.wordpress.com I now update it when something else happens and as I am going in for embolisation number 10 tomorrow an update will undoubtably follow. What happened to me is extremely rare and I am sure your husband will be fine. I hope it happens soon and you can go on and get back to some sort of normality.

Ray

No unfortunately not. But the experience of the whole journey has been incredible to this point. I obviously donā€™t want to die, and I am ever the optimist. I am off on a cruise from Singapore to Abu Dhabi in about 6 weeks and have done so much since things didnā€™t quite work out. I live every day to the maximum and just listen to my body, when I am tired I sleep. I truly hope things go well for you I think Iā€™ve had the stress for everybody else. xxx

Bless ya yep live everyday as it comes enjoy ya cruise šŸš¢ thatā€™s gonna be fantastic xxx

Was so funny though as we put his bag in his car with everything in then drove to hospital in mine ??? Crazy brains šŸ§  or what . The nurses did laugh xxx

My son had his first call on 4th Feb but they sent us home on the 5th as the liver wasnā€™t suitable. We then got another call on the 6th Feb and he was transplanted in the early hours of the 7th! It was a rollercoaster but he is now 22 days PT and is home and doing well.

in reply to Danisleigh

Or bless him . Glad heā€™s doing fine xxxx
