Christmas Lights
Goodnight BLF friends.. Hope you had a warm glowing day.. The village is lit up for Christmas. It has a certain charm. Bea cooked a lovely lunch. We had a quiet day eating chocolates and watching series 2 of The Crown on Netflix. I thought it was well acted but dark and over the top.. Then I fell asleep

Rosacea break out
It seems the rash I have had on and off recently is my old enemy back with a vengeance. Now red bumps and spots that bleed, all over my poor face. So I searched online for an effective cure and found that organic apple cider vinegar with the mother seems to be effective in a dilution of half ACV to

Hyperbaric Chamber
Has anyone tried hyperbaric chamber treatments for Behçet’s? Does insurance cover it? I have a friend with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis who goes scuba diving because it helps him remain mobile. A hyperbaric chamber would provide the same high-pressure environment, plus 100% oxygen, as a scuba diving

W6R3 - another week under the belt! This really works!
Isn’t it incredible? I can’t believe I just ran for 25 minutes! I was euphoric when I completed the 20 last week, but with the first 2 runs this week going ‘back’ to interval running, I really wondered if I could manage the 25 or if it’d been a flash in the pan last week! But no, here I am, sweaty and

Week 6 Run 1 done but very tough
Well everyone said this was a tricky one after the euphoria of the previous 20 minute run and everyone is right!!. Struggled from the start to get any rhythm and legs felt like lead. Didn't help myself by forgetting to use my inhaler pre run and nearly gave up when Jo abandoned me with a technical hitch

Rosacea
My rosacea has gradually got worse over the approx 2 years that I've had it. Not sure what type I have but it definitely ain't a mild form. ie... painful weeping pustules, spots, lumps and bumps over face, scalp, body and even in my ears, and they take ages to heal. Thankfully the latter are only small

Big Girl's School - Day 1 of new running life
Satchel out, new uniform out, new pens - all done in readiness for my first run post graduation (still can't believe that bit though). Actually all that I really did was download a new interval timer app and give myself a new set of reminders to keep running. This now is the closest I get to Mr Smooth

I did a run Saturday, to the common and around the common, usually I have my other half with me who is much more exprienced and she'll keep pace. Today I was flying solo on a run Inhad only done in company. My Apple

Waiting for Diagnosis
Hi all I posted a photo of my potential malar rash the other day. Thanks for all your replies. This is a photo of the back / base of my scalp. I've had this scaly scabby rash for over 15 years. A consultant dermatologist looked at it years ago and had no idea what it was. What are your thoughts? I'm

Raging Rash
I've been taking Ibrutinib for 16 months. The first 8 months I had no problems. Now 7 months ago I started having a rash on my legs, some on my chest and shoulders. I saw my dermatologist and tried several creams. Triamcinolone Acetonide gives some relief. Now it is the worst it has been. My MD took

Waiting for diagnosis
Hi I'm new here! I'm having a long wait to see a rheumatologist as not yet diagnosed, but have lots of ongoing symptoms. Can you pls advise what to expect from your first appointment? Also I'm getting regular facial flushing as well as fatigue, infections and joint pains. I've attached 'dodgy' photos

Cannabinoids shown to enhance chemotherapy treatment.
I know there are some here who have expressed an interest in this subject so I thought I would share this article that I came across. "New research has confirmed that cannabinoids -- the active chemicals in cannabis -- are effective in killing leukemia cells, particularly when used in combination with

Milk Thistle for reducing reverse T3
Hi, I wish to try milk thistle supplements to lower my RT3. I read that I need to ensure I use seeds only (to avoid a possible negative estrogen effect) when I am looking for a product that is in high dose and is seeds, could anybody please recommend one? Thank you kindly

NDT and rosacea?
Hi all, I've recently started self medicating with NDT. I've slowly increased the doses 1/4 grain at a time, 6 weeks per dose. I'm now on .75 since last week. For the past 3 weeks or so, I've developed itchy, red spots on my cheeks. Sometimes they feel a bit like burning. I thought it was my period,
