Week 6 Run 1 done but very tough

Well everyone said this was a tricky one after the euphoria of the previous 20 minute run and everyone is right!!. Struggled from the start to get any rhythm and legs felt like lead. Didn't help myself by forgetting to use my inhaler pre run and nearly gave up when Jo abandoned me with a technical hitch. Still I ground it out and finished.

Well done. You kept going when it got tough.

Still ... you've done it. That is the main thing - you've ticked another run off the list and you can move on to the next.

You did it that's the big thing, so it's onwards and upwards from here

Well done for keeping going. This week builds the time up with runs and fast walks. 👏

Done, well done, now it’s time for the next one and you’ll do that too...

I have W6R1 tomorrow. Any ideas as to why going back to run/walk after W5R3's big20 is often troublesome? Psychology? Underestimating it? Overconfidence? Doing it too soon? Running faster?

All of the above I think, make sure you start out slower than normal

Thats the thing you learn on these later runs. The stop/start intervals break your rhythm up. You will get to run 3 desperate for a lovely, unbroken run.

Well done! I found exactly the same. If we were going to identify a run that no one looks forward to (which we’re not) it should defo be this one not wk5r3. Great job completing it : )
