Christmas Lights

Goodnight BLF friends..

Hope you had a warm glowing day..

The village is lit up for Christmas. It has a certain charm.

Bea cooked a lovely lunch. We had a quiet day eating chocolates and watching series 2 of The Crown on Netflix. I thought it was well acted but dark and over the top.. Then I fell asleep for at least 3 hours..I must say I drunk a few glasses of Champagne..

We had messages from family and friends..It felt like Dad was with us as he was supposed to be except his present is still by the tree. Can’t move it or regift it..

I think Aria is actually snoring next to me! I’m going to have to nudge her😉

I will have to put some music on to fall sleep I think..

Sounds like a perfect Christmas Day, Fran 🎄🎅🏻 Hope you relaxed and slept well too. We're onto our third day of celebrations here, and I'm trying to keep in the party spirit and not feel tired! We had a turkey dinner here with our son on Christmas Eve, another turkey dinner with my mother at her home yesterday. Today our two daughters plus families join us for two days....there'll be no room at the inn tonight!! Hope your day goes well in prep for you family's arrival tomorrow. Calm happiness to you and Bea 😘😘

Haha..sounds like 3 good family days..

Bea is taking me swimming this morning then detox lunch 😉 I indulged in chocolate and champagne yesterday, the dreaded Cs..😃

I put my name down on the waiting list for a massage, it is so full..

I need that before they all come..I already had to put my foot down this morning and told the boys to let me bury our father in peace. You can guess what they’ve got their mind on..I was still having breakfast!

Yes nearly all done, I have the hairdresser’s tomorrow morning then we’ll go and fetch people from the station..hope there are no flights delays..Bea has organised the music..I wrote my speech..

Time will fly..then I just want to sleep.

The weather is ghastly, pouring down..

Swimming will be perfect..

I certainly empathise with the urge to sleep, Fran, after all duties done and busy times over! 😴 Do enjoy your day swimming, lunching and hopefully a massage too. Immerse yourself in it (excuse the pun!) relax and enjoy. Sail calmly through any diversions from your brothers. They just want contact, any contact, just like the troubled little boys at school! Ha! I do hope all goes well to plan over the next few days, and you can adapt if it doesn't! So very well done on writing your speech...I bet that raised your emotions! Done now though. Lovely in a way to have a Christmas send off for your Dad, and so remember him every Christmas thereafter....they can be happy thoughts!
