Alendronic Acid
I have had 2 doses of alendronic acid and am currently experiencing a first painful, now vision- impairing inflammation in my right eye (steroid drops prescribed).. I see this mentioned as a possible side-effect of AA. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have just got my cholesterol down to 5.1 after 3 months of severely restricting fats but don’t think my diet is healthy. I have read a lot about good fats from fish, seeds, omega 3 ect and use an online app to measure my daily fat intake.. I measure how much fat should I take each day? Using an app

Alendronic Acid and Bloating
I've been taking A Acid now for a month and although things started off well I am now so bloated that I can't stand it! Does The Risedronate stuff have the same effect ? Would I be better off trying that one. Thanks....

Vitamin Supplements for PMR
I have had PMR since February 2023, diagnosed end of April, started on 15mg Pred, increased to 20mg to get fully on top of pain. Now tapering, down to 17.5mg and plan to go to 15mg at the end of July. Then slowly from there. I have been taking Alendronic Acid tablet one weekly since mid May. I am thinking

Fatigue
Since being diagnosed with an inflammatory disorder three years ago I have suffered with various symptoms most of which are now well controlled and stable. The severe pain in my joints and other parts of my body and the excruciatingly painful headaches thankfully seem to be kept at bay by medication

IBS and Osteoporosis drugs.
Has anyone had Zoledronic acid infusion for Osteoporosis, and developed IBS symptoms afterwards. I never had it before, and it started a few months after that. I don't get constipation or diarrhoea it's just lots of cramping abdominal pain made worse after I eat.

Alendronic Acid
It has been recommended that I take Alendronic Acid to protect my bones whilst taking Prednisone as I now have Osteoporosis. To be honest given the potential horrendous side effects of Alendronic Acid which on top of those of taking Prednisone and of course the impact of having GCA I am reluctant to

amino acids not recognised as essential in humans such as taurine play a role in fibromyalgia,
In this study, researchers measured the level of 20 amino acids (critical components of proteins). They found that overall levels of amino acids were lower in fibromyalgia and that seven amino acids were especially low, including taurine, alanine, tyrosine, valine, methionine, phenylalanine, and threonine. The

Lab results help & talking to doctor about med changes
I talked to my doctor before my lab work about possibly changing the dosage of my levothyroxine or even adding T3 because I still don't think I am optimal. She gave me a " we will see" response and said she doesn't want to mess with it too much because adding one thing can make something else wonky.

alpha-lipoic acid
hi all, can you take alpha-lipoic acid at anytime of the day away from thyroid meds? I’ve got burning mouth syndrome/metallic taste in my mouth and read the above can help (with vitamin c and L Lysine) but it can interfere with thyroid meds? Many thanks 🙏🏼

osteoporosis and spinal fractures
Hello, I have been a member on health unlocked forums for many years due to other health conditions. I joined this bone health forum last year 2022, following three fractures out of the blue. (The first whilst cleaning my teeth and coughing) this was last February 14, happy Valentine’s Day lol 😂

Alendronic Acid
I have just been given alendronic acid by my GP to protect my bones. I have been reading some of the side effects and not sure whether to start this medication. I also read on nhs website that may need advice before taking if you have kidney problems. Does anyone else take this medication? I am thinking

Alendronic acid and dental wirk
Does anyone have a similar experience or advice please? I finally started taking Alendronic Acid on Monday under pressure from a GP who said I should not delay. Hi everyone,I've got a packet of B12 (I'm in Australia and it's the Neo brand) and I'm thinking of injecting it SC. The problem is it says 'for IM use only'. It's hydroxocobalamin chloride 1mg in 1mL and the other ingredients are sodium chloride, water and acetic acid. Does anyone know if this sort
