Best, value for money Supplements

So SI B12, have run out of all my supplements. Now on 150 mcg Levo, I need Vit D, K2 MK7, Folate/B complex, Magnesium, maybe glycinate or chloride, spent hours trying to track down good bio available ones and getting confused and annoyed. omega 3 fatty acids too. Complicated by a completely underwhelming bank balance, literally broke, any recommendations preferably with links if that's allowed.

Good morning polo sorry to read of your health issues.Do you have P.A and are unable to absorb nutrients from your food? This is one of my problems and one of the reasons I have to supplement certain things.

All I can suggest is

a) Have a look through Amazon or

b) Try supermarket or pound shops who actually do a good range of vitamins but unfortunately certain of these things are always going to be costly.

Sometimes the local small pharmacies have good deals so could be an idea to chat to them see what they can offer.

If you don’t have absorption issues then you could see which foods contain the vitamins and minerals you need,ie mushrooms are full of vit d which you can enhance if you stick them in the sunshine on window ledge ,if you’ve had an allotment I’m sure you know all this already,I bet your really missing it I’d love one.

Best of luck x

No official diagnosis , IFA came back negative, assuming an absorption problem as have a few deficiencies, doesn't help being undermedicated with levo. Yes really do miss the allotment, provides food for the soul while providing food for the body. Don't think I would cope physically at the moment, better than any gym. Bit the bullet last night and dipped into the overdraft to buy some supplies so hopefully have enough for next few months and get on a more even keel. If you can get an allotment do, never that fussy about sweetcorn until I ate one within 20 mins of being picked. Peas are like sweeties ate straight off the plant and warm ripe strawberries are fabulous

Potatoes can be grown in your empty compost bags. Turn them inside out so black is outside, roll them down till you have the compost 6 to 9 inches deep, plant potatoes and as leaves develop unroll bag a little and cover again with compost. Keep repeating till bag is full, loads of spuds, and no chemicals

Brilliant thank you for that I’ll try that method,I’m really enjoying my garden it’s only little but I mostly have containers because of my back it’s easier, the stuff I planted when I first moved in is just beautiful right now I forgot how much pleasure a garden gives.ty again x

It's not the size that matters it's how you use it. Mixed planting too or companion planting, grow flowers marigold, chamomile nasturtiums with say carrots confuses the bugs and looks great

in reply toPolo22

I’ve actually got some beautiful marigolds just now,I’m a total novice I never knew you could do the mixing like that how clever you are well done and thank you for sharing.

My gardening attempts lol

I’m finding it difficult as everything’s covered in spiders and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad lol,I clear all the webs then next day there all back it is a pain espec as I hate them.

I am really uncomfortable around spiders , they do freak me out a bit but I try not to show it, don't want the kids being the same. They ask me to kill them when they are in the house, if only they knew they are everywhere 😱. They eat a lot of creepies that would eat or damage your strawbs, get a little bit of hay, and put in in top of your baskets under the fruit, you could always give them a spray of water before you pick them, put into a colander and run under the tap, they'll be fine

Good plan ty again x

Local chemists often have well priced supplements .In my opinion just as good as expensive ones.

Supermarkets too.

Only 'as bio' as you can absorb .

Often taken away from food or some with food can make a difference.

YourSupplements - D3 + K2, high strength, in big packs.

Think they do MK7 too

BetterYou - magnesium chloride foot soak flakes - very pure, most bioavailable.
