Hi I’ve just been told I have severe Osteoporosis after having a Dexa Scan. I’ve started Adcal D3 and I’ve been given Alendronic Acid 70mg. It’s my left hip and lumber spine which is affected, -3•5 in hip, -3•1 in lumber spine. I’ve been told I have a fracture risk of 36%. I’m naturally concerned about

Is a Fibroscan more accurate than ultrasound?
Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I wish I'd found this site and forum years ago! I was diagnosed with PBC eight years ago and have been taking Ursodiol ever since. A Fibroscan showed cirrhosis at that time with a reading of 35 kPa. I had scans every two years since then until my last reading

A light bulb moment!
Having just read all the responses to the post by gKetan30 regarding costings of treatment for PMR/GCA, it made me suddenly realise how easily I've taken for granted access to the medication I take! I'm prescribed Alendronic Acid, Prednisolone (5mg, 2.5mg & 1mg enteric coated tabs) Calci-D, Propanolol

Anxiety medication and PBC
Hi, just want to preface this post by saying I’m seeing my doctor at the end of the week but I’m wondering if anyone is willing to share if they take anxiety medication and Ursodiol for PBC. Just Need Some Help
I am just having a horrendous time and don't know what to do. I have been bleeding every single day since January 2019. I had the copper coil fitted for 7 months and couldn't handle it anymore so had it removed. In that time, I was hospitalised twice due to the pain. The bleeding has never stopped

Help with Alendronic Acid Please
Hi I’m new to this forum, and this is my story. It’s a bit longwinded, but I think all the facts are important in order to make valid comments I am a long-term pain sufferer from muscle spasms of the neck and also more recently (5 years or so) from a torn rotator cuff both of which cause migraines

What is your take on Soybean? 🧐🤔
Edamame has always been my favorite snack since I was little. I usually steam and sprinkle a little bit of sea salt. You may find edamame prepared the same way as appetizer when you go to a sushi restaurant. I found many health benefits from edamame but one thing I’m concerned is phytoestrogen or isoflavones

Hyaluronic Acid and CLL
I have been using a Revitalift over the counter face serum that is 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid sold as a treatment for wrinkles and aging skin. I seem to remember somewhere that there is a tie to CLL. Does anyone have any info on this? TIA

Mirena for heavy periods
Hello, I had the Mirena coil fitted 4 months ago for heavy periods, with fibroids and adenomyosis. I had to wait a year to get a gynecology appointment, and had a hysteroscopy, and the Mirena fitted at the same time. I have not had a follow up appointment, and have been finding it hard to even get through
