Docetaxel didn't work, what's next?
Hi there! My father (65M from Toronto) was diagnosed almost three years ago with prostate cancer and we're really starting to lose hope. This community seems so informed and caring, I'd appreciate any thoughts that you may have about my dad's diagnosis :) In 2019, his PSA rose to 10.4 and then to

Maybe One of You Can Benefit From This: Radiation Again After 10 Years of ADT.
Basically, I have been on Lupron and Zytiga for 10 years, except for 3 vacations from both during my first 5 years. I also had my prostate removed 6 months after dx, which was "experimental" and had the largest tumor in my left acetabulum (hip) radiated 2 yrs after dx. I started to see a rise in my

Can Lupron and Enzalutamide raise blood pressure and blood sugar?
Hi Guys! Has anybody had the experience in getting high blood pressure and high blood sugar level from Lupron and Enzalutamide? Is this a rare thing or a common thing for those cancers treated with hormonal drugs like Lupron and Enzalutamide? Appreciate your responses. Thanks.

when are maximum lupron side effects ?
I am new here. My Husband started Lupron 4 weeks ago for a 6 month course with salvage radiation. As expected he is tired and has brain fog. In your experience will these symptoms get worse or has the nadir been reached and one could expect him to feel the same for the next 6+ months ? Thank you Tasha

Any hope?
In 2018 I started Zytiga and Lupron. Zytiga stopped working after three years. In December of 2021 I started Taxotere. It didn’t help. I had 25 treatments of radiation treatment for my pelvis area. Treatment stopped on 7/18/22. Now I’m dealing with the side effects. Anything else after the treatments

encouraging words from oncologist
hi everyone! I think it would be a great time to share some encouraging words our oncologists have shared with us that maybe will help to inspire others. I think it can be very uplifting to read positives! My parent (ironically my father- men do get breast cancer!) was diagnosed with de novo stage

T and PSA basically undetectable. Is adding testosterone or having a colonoscopy 3 years post treatment a good or bad idea for the elderly?
Cancer in late 2019 was G9 with no indication of escaping the capsule. PSA was <10. Treatment initially casodex followed by one session high dose brachy, 25 sessions IMRT and 18 months Lupron. Currently PSA undetectable and T still <2.5. Pushing through a regular exercise routine but have no energy

My husband has CDK12 mutation. We are at 5 years post RP. He has had two rounds of Lupron… with 18 months of nondectable in between the two ADT rounds. PSA has now climbed to 1.2 It appears Lupron has stopped working. We have been told Dr. Antonarakis at University of Minnesota is highly regarded

Lupron in USA and Europe
Dose for 3 months seems to be 22.5 mg in USA where in Europa we receive only 11.5 mg. Are we all aware of this and what’s the reason?

Smoother skin From Lupron? Chemo?
I've been on Lupron for 2 mo. now and recently finished my 2nd chemo (docetaxel). I've noticed recently that my skin is very soft & smooth. Still have most of my body hair. Skin used to be rough in spots and dry in spots, but now that's gone. Could this be the lack of testosterone? From the chemo?

Are we doing enough?
I am pasting what I've posted in the facebook groups. Maybe someone can give me some insight. I'm posting for my husband. I feel like my hubby can't catch a break. I don't know if we need to try seeing another oncologist or if it's just how his body is reacting and there's nothing we can do about

Good News-But Do I Belong Here?
Hello all. I comment/reply sometimes (usually about exercise), but create posts much less often. It's been awhile though, and something has come up that prompts this one, Quick recap: RP in June '19 and a subsequent clinical trial beginning Sept '19 due to positive lymph node and seminal vesicle invasion

recurring lymph node prostate cancer
Ive been diagnosed recurring prostate cancer in my lymph node only. Ive taken a 6 month Lupron injection (PSA down from 2.0 to .11) , recommended for Zytiga, then radiation as soon as possible. My liver numbers are up due to the Lupron injection and not sure I can make it through the Zytiga. Might

Undetectable PSA is back
Maybe I can ask for your advice? You find my full bio in my profile. Yesterdays blood test shows PSA < 0.05 and Testosterone 0.03. I restarted Lupron end of January, so it’s now six months. Would you recommend a total of 12, 18 or 24 months before the next holiday or continue „forever“? Comment: side

IP6 + Inositol seems to be working for me.
After battling PCa for nearly 19 years with disappointments galore, I may now have found something with positive results. I had radical prostatectomy in August 2003 (Gleason: 4+3) which was followed by a very gradual PSA rise over 11 years. I had conventional treatments (salvage radiation, spot radiation
