High Blood Pressure anyone?
I am wondering if anyone else has had a rise in their Blood Pressure since being diagnosed with APCa? I've been on Bicalutamide and Lupron since December 2019, recently completed 9 sessions of Docetaxel and today will be my 10th Radio session. At my Nursing check four days ago, I discovered that my BP

Unusual soreness from Lupron shot
I had a 4 month Lupron shot two days ago and I can hardly walk. It is somewhat better today than yesterday but still very painful. I have had 3 Lupron shots before but never had such pain last so long. Has anyone had a similar experience?

My treatment of a Gleason 3 +4 measuring 11 mm x 4 mm , near apex
Hello everybody . Has any of you underwent radiotherapy plus six months ADT as an alternative choice to RP plus lymphnodes dissection , both treatments presented as equivalent . For my condition , I chose RT plus ADT as less invasive . I was diagnosed Pirads 4 in January 2020 , plus biopsy , two cores

Ending my break from ADT
Today I had appointment with my MO's nurse practitioner. It was agreed that I could end my ADT vacation and restart ADT for six months to start with. My PSA son ADT vacation went up from 0.135 on may 28 to 0.453 on August 28, while my T rose from 114 to 147 during the same period. Due to nationwide Lupron

Faraway Friends
It's been a while since I wrote something. My latest scan( Bone and MRI scan) were all clear, except for that little stubborn met in my hip bone. PSA still undetectable( <0.02), and no real problems compared to what I read on the Forum about other, less fortunate members. Strange how you think that

Some good news for me.
Finished my 28 rounds of IGRT In March this year. My PSA had started to creep up again so my MO and RO suggested this treatment. I previously had chemo in 2016 and since then been using Lupron and Zytiga as my regular regime. I was please to see my Blood tests come back today with a PSA down to 0.1.

Just finished first meeting with radiation oncologist. What he proposed as next steps
Given my PSA of ".38" 22 months following robotic radical prostatectomy and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin). I have my first call with a urologist from an academic hospital

A question and a bit of a gripe!
Why aren't doctors acknowledging muscle wasting and osteopenia due to ADT. My husband began a round of zoladex about 4 months ago. The last time he did it was in 2014. After 6 months his butt had lost muscle and was ripples. His legs lost a lot of muscle. Also, there is osteopenia showing up. All

Next steps with high PSA during Jevtana
Hi folks, I have had 3 infusions of Cabazitaxel over the past 10 weeks and I am due to go in tomorrow (Thursday, 8/27). My PSA has been rising dramatically, from 5.7 on 4/20 to 32.24 today. My scans did not show any decrease in Mets (S2, L2, T4,5,6,7), and a slight "shadow" of increase. My doc and I

Soreness from lupron
I’m going Thursday for my 6 month lupron shot in my lower back/upper butt, and I’m usually real sore for about 5 days. Any suggestions to ease soreness? I run and lift 3-4 times a week, but I take off a week after the shot.

New to this forum: SBRT or Brachy to minimize chance of ED?
I recently entered the realm of unfavorable intermediate risk PCa after nearly 3 years on Active Surveillance. My Medical Oncologist has started me on ADT for 6 months and has recommended external radiation. I'm scheduled to see Dr. Kishan at UCLA on September 14 for a consultation and probable SBRT

Followers have been checking in on me...I'm STILL here!!! and so is my food! Pasta with chicken breast and peas in a creamy sauce
I've been so busy...we've sold our "extra" house next door to where my partner and I live (prices went up and we just felt it was time)...and I hand-picked our new neighbor who we love. So we had a million (not exaggerating) things to move into our already filled (think HORDER on steroids) house. And
