Erleada and Dizziness
Hi Gents, I don’t post often. I have been on Erleada, Lupron and Xgeva for over 4 years. I took a 3 month hiatus and saw my PSA go from 1.2 to 6.9. I had my first PSMA PET scan. It showed mets to a number of areas on my skeleton. I started back up on my meds. About 2 weeks ago I started getting really

Looking into alternative treatments
I'm post-radiation (completed February 15, 2022) in which one (of 4) lymph nodes resolved, one reduced about 60% and two reduced about 80% (PET/CT of August 9, 2022). In response to my "What's next?" question, as expected it was "wait and see". Another PSA in 3 months, then PSA and PET in 6 months.

Starting Lupron ... Again
After a couple of delays I finally had the appointment with my MO regarding re-starting ADT. To review, I've been on a year long ADT vacation, my second vacation. This vacation was approximately 18 months after completing RT. A PSMA scan showed 4 small spots on my ilium very close to my previous mets

Opinions on Xtandi (sic) mono-therapy?
Friend has maintained a low .050 and below with only this drug for over 6 months. . Got initial Lupron shot and didn't go back.

Continue Casodex or move to Lupron?
Hi guys, All the details are in my profile but the thumbnail is - RP 3 1/2 years ago with persistent PSA thus radiation and Lupron for a year. One year off, rising PSA at 1.6. Opted for monotherapy Casodex 50 mg. Two months later, PSA dropped to 0.5 so we stayed with it for another 6 months whereupon

Pluvicto Availability in the US
I am at a turning point in my journey. My first PSMA PET confirms that my adenocarcinoma has reactivated and is no longer responsive to Abiraterone/pred and Lupron. My oncologist feels I would be a good candidate for Lutetium 177 PSMA therapy however there is no supply in Colorado except for a clinical

Psa started to rise and started zytiga, which souped working in 3 months. Started Xtandi, which didn't work at all. Started Jevtana

Worried Daughter
Hi Gentleman, I am here to find some hope, positivity, and some recommendations for my father who I love so dearly. My dad was diagnosed 5 years ago at age 65 with stage 4 prostate cancer and advanced METs, a terrible retirement gift. He started on the Lupron shot and 6 rounds of chemo (Docetaxel).

Advanced PCa - medication side effects or brain mets?
Hi everyone, Nice to meet you all - this is my first time writing on here and I am so inspired by all of you. I was hoping that you could share some of your experience (or some words of assurance). My dad (62) was diagnosed with relatively aggressive, stage 3 prostate cancer back in 2019, and he

New Med
I had my bloodwork done as part of my annual checkup with my PCP. The results came back, and my Thyroid (TSH) is (High) at 6.360. So, my PCP prescribed a med to try and control it. Has anyone had a similar circumstance.? New Med is Levothyroxine. I checked and saw no conflict with the Lupron I'm taking

a recent post prompted me to write this question. i was diagnosed Gleason 8-9 in Fall 2018, with 3-10 possible bone Mets. i started bicalutamide, then three weeks later started Lupron. Between a rock and another rock...
Was just told by my uro-onc that Casodex is about to kill me by shutting down my liver, based on 3 liver enzyme readings (ALT=177; AST=144; ALK.PH.=482). If I stop taking it, PCa will kill me. Right now, PSA is undetectable. Casodex monotherapy has worked for 4 yrs, but now I have very little choice

Dipyridamole To Reduce Platelet Formation, inhibit Fibrin Coating
Has anyone taken the above with the hope of reducing/inhibiting metastasis, and tumor formation? This is an old drug used for at risk stroke and heart attack patients. It is also an anti-inflammatory (COX-2 path) . It's primary purpose is to curtail the formation of platelets and platelet adhesion

Catch 22 - Hormone sensitive but can't tolerate hormone therapy
This is related to my posts about Lupron giving me intolerable and treatment resistant depression. The Lupron did work so far as bringing my PSA down to essentially zero which should mean it is suppressing the cancer. It is the front line SOC (Standard of Care) - FDA approved, proven in practice, etc

On Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone for nearly 1 YR - Stage 4 w/Bone Met
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 (Gleason 8-9) last August and was immediately put on Lupron, then Zytig/Pred after 3 months. PSA was only 1.2 but actually more like 2.4 since I was on Finestride. Testosterone was 650. Now after 1 year, I'm at 0.02 PSA and <5 Testosterone, both immeasurable. Prior PET
