Surgical castration?
[69yr. active, PSA 17.47 (tested for Urolift), Biopsy 3/30/20: Gleason 9 (4+5 & 5+4), No spread CT/MRI, possible extension to periphery] Just now wrapping my head around this. I sure hope that someone can point out something that I am missing! I'm an engineer and I am not ashamed to bring cost effectiveness

Period 7 days before pregnancy test- is this possible
Hi everyone. I am on my 4th ivf cycle. My doctor decided to do a long cycle this time. We transferred 2 good quality embriyos and now I am 6 days past 3 day transfer. My last period came on 30th March 2020 and the transfer was on 19th April 2020. I have been having very bad period cramps for 2 days now

Found cancer by TURP
My husband of 40plus years had a TURP performed on him in Dec 2019. We had already suspected cancer and he was told he has aggressive prostate cancer, Gleason score 9. He is 91 and the Dr thinks Lupron every 3 months is how he should treat the cancer. He has given him 2 to 5 years because of his age

As many of You know, my father (66) was just diagnosed with mPC, with widespread bone mets. He is already on Leuprolide/Bicalutamida, and we are thinking about chemo or Abiraterone. Because of Covid19 his MO hasent seen him, just his test and results. She was concerned about two things before going

My feelings
My thoughts and feelings this wasn't written to get sympathy or to guilt. Just my honest thoughts in the best words I have. After 15 months of Lupron indering the hot flashes, nonexsitant sex drive lack of energy and derteration of my muscle mass. I'm left with crappy skin sagging neck. I don't

Prostate Cancer
Hello, diagnosed with prostate cancer in Jan 2020 with a Gleason 9. Had RP in March 2020 with a T3b tumor. Now waiting on 1st post op PSA to determine next steps but oncologist said we will hit it very hard with chemo and lupron and then radiation regardless of 1st PSA so he can give 5-10+ years.

The Waiting Game/Post 5 weeks of Radiation for Oligomatastic (3 spots) Prostate cancer after 4 years+ of Stage 4. During "Quarantine"
I started my radiation just in time to get almost 1/2 way through before the lock downs and the push backs on anything not necessary, so I got all 5 weeks finished a couple of weeks ago. Two lymph nodes and one small "superficial" spot on my left pelvic bone. Today was bloodwork and Xtandi and Xgeva

Low dose cabazitazel for bone marrow infiltration
Hubby has advanced stage 4 PC. Casodex, lupron, taxotere, Zytiga, Xtandi, Keytruda, cabazitazel + carboplatin, xofigo (1 dose). Adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine. PC now in his bone marrow. Trying low dose cabazitazel. Anyone done the same? He so tired.

November 2010 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer already out of the prostate. Christmas time I had Robotic removal of prostate and surrounding area. I was 65 at the time. Results were good until 2012 when psa came back hard and fast. Had hormone shot in stomach which made my eyes go in circles and

Estradiol vs ADT?
I seek the experience (and even the opinion!) of the hive mind on this: I hear and read occasionally about oestradiol as being equivalent to LHRH agonists for testosterone suppression minus some of the famous nasty side effects. My instinct is that it’s too good to be true but I’m keeping an open

Trying to Make Sense of Husbands Testosterone History and Wanting to Clarify Why a Doctor Feels He May Be Becoming CR.
I have been looking back at my husbands T numbers over his three year history of treatment and looking for thoughts after a doctor today made a comment Charlie is becoming CR and should try Provenge. Little history. T has always been low in Charlie. Usually below 300 for 15 years prior to being diagnosed

Hi folks, are the Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mHSPC) patients here, which, treatments are at least ADT2, taken Docetaxel?
So, ADT2: Leuprolide (Lupron, Eligard) and Abiraterone (Zytiga) for example, is typical combination for mHSPC patients. Although, the CHAARTED trial has determined - adding Docetaxel to ADT2 improves overall survival and prolong time to castrate resistance. A while back, I've posted adding Docetaxel

What options after doctaxel failed, then Extandi failed after 6 weeks? Any treatments, med centers for consults, clinical trials?
Husband was diagnosed with PC with extensive bone mets last August. PSA 49, Gleason 9, no symptoms. Still on Lupron. PSA initially dropped; then went up after 2nd of 5 chemo treatments. Started Xtandi around March 1, PSA dropped and then kept rising. Still on Xtandi for now, scans scheduled next week

Failed Docetaxel, then Xtandi, what next?
Hi, can anyone help? Hoping to hear from anyone with experience in next treatment/step after docetaxel failed and Xtandi failed? Or places for further consults? Dear husband Barry first failed docetaxel (5 treatments), and then Xtandi failed after 6 weeks, PSA rising. Still on Lupron, continuing

Zytega hurting my liver
Hello. I am new to this group. I had my prostate removed in early December. Positive margins and 1 of 9 lymph nodes was positive. 6 of 8 weeks of RT completed. First dose of Lupron in late January. 4 weeks in on Zytega and my liver enzymes are 6 - 10 times max normal range. Stopped Zytega immediately
