Great news so far but still praying…
We received DC’s PSA and other lab results. PSA is at 4.6 (from 6.2) and his Potassium is at 3.9 (from 3.1). Also, he had the cystoscopy done and the doctor just thinks the CT scan saw a shadow from his enlarged prostate because everything look great and completely normal. Another Lupron shot next month

Medication Change Experience & Interval
Placed on Orgovyx in place of Lupron /Ellegard (see my history) for details. After three weeks SE's much the same but manageable. Added Xtandi to the mix and SEs got considerably worse. Much higher level of fatigue, brain fog, and more intense hot flashes. MO suggested Orgovyx and Nubega. I do

My experience and being my own advocate
I was diagnosed with stage 4 advanced prostate cancer , Mets to the bone and lympnodes. This was approximately six years ago. I’ll be 73 in July. Had my biopsy done at NYU Langone, my psa was 23. I had been at a steady 11 for a year. My primary Dr. wasn’t too concerned. They called wishful waiting

Should i include docetaxel with lupron +darolutamide.
My PSA =15 naïve ADT. Had RP, and RT. 5 lymph node locations 3 in pelvic 1 in chest 1 in clavicle. Ive read the trial results but they don’t include ADT+darolutamide with docetaxel. Im 64 and healthy with no symptoms. I was thinking in lieu of chemo, I could include a 5aReductase inhibitor RAD-140

Just starting my voyage
Hi, I was diagnosed end of Feb 22 with Stage 3 prostate by my family doctor. Flurry of test has shown Gleason 9, stage 4 with extensive metastatic. Initial PSA was 835, followed by 940. Then began lupron in March and PSA went to 117 and last week is now 18. Oncologist concerned and suggested the triple

Probiotics
Are there any pros or cons to probiotics while on Lupron, Abiraterone, and prednisone? Jim has never in his life gotten staph infections, and he is now fighting his second one on his skin within 4 months. Thinking he doesn't have enough friendly bacteria in his system. Thank you

Lycopene, Heat, Magnets
I learned of my prostate cancer metastasis about ten years ago in 2012, which was four years after radiation therapy to my prostate in 2008, following a urinary blockage and biopsy Gleason 8. I chose RT over surgical as my mets were microscopic, confined to prostate. The discovery of Stage 4 was after

Stampede Trial: Arm H
So the Stampede Trial is one of the largest Trials with 10,000 Men, mostly from the UK, Switzerland, and Canada. It started over 10 years ago. It has many Arms which try different combinations. Back to plan B - No longer chasing Lu177
Our next step is Xofigo. Hubby had been through 10 sessions of docetaxel in 2021 where PSA went down to 1.1 (previously 117 at start of chemo). He got a break from it for 2 months, but it climbed back up to 46.8 and had to go back on docetaxel again. It didn't work as well as last time - his PSA never

What do you make of this?
Three and 1/2 years ago, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer with numerous bone mets from his hip up to his skull. He was put on Lupron right away, and his PSA has never gone over <.02. (He also had Chemo & Radiation). My understanding is that Lupron supresses testosterone

Nubequa Failing?
I had a PSMA scan in late Nov 2021. A few bone mets and lymph nodes in abdominal area. I had been on just Eligard for 2 years. And before that Lupron and Casodex since 2011 with some vacation time in between and a year, 2017, in a clinical trial using estrodoil applied by applying to shoulders daily.

ANY ONE HAVE LEG PAIN WITH APALUTAMIDE (ERLEADA)
Been on Lupron for 2.5 yrs. then off 1.5. Due to skeletal metastases, MO put me back on Lupron & Erleada. Very little side effects when I was on Lupron. 3 wks. in, getting uncomfortable leg pain, in both legs. Mainly the underneath of thighs have a dull ache and feet feel slightly numb and tingle

Post Brachytherapy PSA
I'm thinking this is quite good news. Jim had HDR Brachytherapy last October. Unable to do pelvic radiation nor any lymph nodes nor his suspicious bone spot. He is considered Oligometastatic. Despite limited RT, after six months of PSA <0.04, this month he is down to <0.02. He of course still on
