Zoladex, lupron, oophprectomy or…?
I tired Zoladex this last summer. It was torturous. My Onc said it would be a monthly shot. I got it. When I got home and looked at the chart notes from the nurse who administered it, it turns out they gave me the 3 month shot. overnight it was like all the anxiety I’d ever experienced in my life was

Low PSA producing PCa. MO discontinued Abi +Pred. Is this right?
My partner is Gleason 9, grade 5, BRCA 1. Highest PSA at diagnosis and prostatectomy was 2.67. Started on Lupron right away. Abi and pred started when PSA went to .26 a year after surgery. We’re in Florida for a few months and went to Moffit for a second opinion. Doctor took him off abi and pred right

Lupron and Abiraterone post treatment expectations?
Ive had RP; PSA didn’t go to zero; started Lupron and Abi + Prednisone and then 33 radiation treatments of whole pelvic region. PSA has been undetected for 7 mos now. Hope to stop all treatments after 6/24 Has anyone walked similar path? Did PSA stay at zero? Did libido return? Did body hair return

Expectations after six cycles of Taxotere
My husband was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer nearly three years ago, receiving a regimen of ADT, which included abiraterone, Lupron and prednisone. When that no longer worked, he started first-line chemotherapy. He just completed his sixth cycle. His PSA dropped until the sixth infusion

BCG - intravesical immunotherapy - Update.
Got a letter this morning giving me dates for this treatment. 7th December - 14th December and 21st December. While I am pleased to finally have got my dates, I remain uneasy as normally the outcome of biopsies are in the letter. For the first time since my diagnosis, i do not know the findings of

Orchiectomy?
The question mark tells the story. I am in this for life so I am tossing around the idea of an orchiectomy. I am now on Lupron and aberaterone+prednisone. I understand I would not take the Lupron anymore but how about he Abi as it works differently as in adreanals.

ADT Recommendations
I'm probably looking at starting salvage radiation soon with 4-6 months of ADT. The doc suggests starting with Casodex and then two sequential Lupron shots. Is there a better way to do ADT for that period? I'd like to get my testosterone back quickly at the end of the treatment period if possible.

Severe headaches and extremely high blood pressure
Seven months in on Lupron and Zytiga with typical SE and suddenly in the middle of the night, my head starts splitting with pain and blood pressure shoots to 222/122. I have never had high blood pressure so this a new event for me. I called my MO and his nurse said (after speaking with the Doc) to

Thank you, thank you, thank you; Thanks to everyone who replied and/or messaged me in response to my recent post about the serious mental and emotional side effects I have been experiencing on Lupron and Elligard. I wrote my MO yesterday restating my concerns - and today I received a message back

Does a big drop in PSA a month after the start of hormone treatment possibly represent a higher chance of cure?
Hi all, I have been researching and I have been wondering if big drops in PSA right after hormone treatment should give you more hope at a cure or if this does not change the situation at all? Father PSA of 226 dropped to 3 one month after Firmagon shot, and then 0.3 a month after that, and then 0.13

PSA doubled again within three months.
My psa has doubled yet again within three months and lung mets are growing in size, while they have only grown a few millimeters they are still growing. I have had all of the first course of treatment after the prostate was removed and have been on Lupron since 2018, Oncologist has now added Xtandi to

Xtandi already failing? How is this possible
hi everyone. My dad met with his new oncologist today. He consented to genetic testing so his bloodwork will be sent out in 6 weeks. His new PSA reading came back at 2.84. On February 7th, it was 1.94. He also got another lupron shot today and it’s been over three months since he received one, maybe

PSMAddition Phase 1/2 Results?
So my story seems to be evolving quickly. Last August with, psa around 1.4, a psma pet picked up an 8 mm lesion in my right lung and nothing else. Too small to biopsy. Everyone unsure what it was. In November my psa was stable at around 1.4 and a ct scan indicated the lesion was unchanged. Too small

Pain after intercourse
First I would like to thank all the people in this community for providing excellent advice and encouragement. I had radiation and Lupron in 2020, and my PSA has been good. Unfortunately, in February 2022, I had to be hospitalized due to bleeding in my colon. After receiving a couple of units of blood
