I have been on dupilmab for 18 months. I have not had steroids for 18 months and administer it myself. I have eosinophilic asthma.I had to go back to the asthma unit for a review. My spirometry was much better than last time but my FeNo remained high. Bloods done as well. I had a phone call a few days

GCA- Methotrexate
Hi I’ve been on prednisone since October 2023 for GCA. The last four weeks I’ve been prescribed Methotrexate also, the intention is to gradually reduce the steroids. Since I’ve been taking the Methotrexate my leg and arm muscles feel weak, is this a common side affect of the drug. Has anyone else

I've been on prednisolone for 10 years. Can't get off it. Even with nucala injections every 4 weeks. I had churg Strauss syndrome. And still on 11 drugs to get by. Every day. Including heart drugs. But still can't get PIP. Even though I would probably die before someone with a bit of arthritis who

ouch!! Headaches
Back in May I had horrible headaches and extreme spasticity in my shoulders and neck. After a week I went to instant care. Dr said I most likely had an MS flare causing the bad spasticity and that was causing tension headaches. He put me on a six day taper of prednisone and some acetaminophen with caffeine

Criteria to treat CLL
Good morning, My Haematologist has again recommended I start treatment for CLL. Yet, I know that I've read on here that there are set criteria for doing so. His reasoning is that the treatment has a immune suppressive effect. I'm on 4mg prednisolone and the aim is to taper to nothing. I'm on the steroids

Dietary question
When I had an all-over (shoulders, neck, back, hips, knees, etc) flare five years ago, before diagnosis and before Prednisone, one of my doctors suggested an anti-inflammatory diet: no gluten, no dairy, lots of fresh veggies of all colors. During the past five years, I've been about 99% gluten & dairy

Prednisolone without food
Have always taken my Prednisolone at breakfast with porridge or Greek yoghurt . Refuse to take a PPI. Am due for surgery in a few weeks time and not to eat after midnight. Am only on 4.5 mg Pred at present. Will it hurt this once to take it with no food? I cant see a way around it.

Prednisolone 2.5mg Gastro-resistant tablets
Just picked up my prescription for my pred and for the first time in six years my GP has prescribed Prednisolone Gastro-resistant 2.5mg tablets instead of my normal Prednisolone 2.5mg. I presume these are the coated ones I have heard people mention in the past, but as I already take Lansoprazole 15mg

Continue Forever on Low Dose Prednisone?
Hello PMR/GCA friends! I had GCA/PMR in 2017, and slowly tapered prednisone over 4 years to 0. Then after almost a full year off of prednisone, in 2021 I had a relapse. Started again on 60 mg prednisone and Actemra injections . Right now I’m taking 1.5 mg prednisone and Actemra every other

Finally, at zero prednisone...still Actemra~!
I've certainly been off the grid with my trip to Maine and then an eight-day visit from my 19-year-old granddaughter from Canada. My brain and heart are just full of wonderful memories. I am still doing weekly injections of Actemra and am certain my rheumatologist will continue that. I remained on .5

Hello there, I am Sunshine, 22 years old and this is my first post on the forum. I have had asthma in my genes and from childhood. But recently with recurrent respiratory infections and occasional blood in sputum brought me to the doctor. He ordered me an Xray which showed Bronchiectasis. To confirm

update on symptoms after holiday
it’s now been 8 days since return from holiday. I’m marginally better but after a shower and breakfast feel fatigued and not well. I did go out for coffee today with husband for an hour and now have aches in arms and legs . I have neck pain / stiffness at times. Had a nap. I’m still on 15 mg prednisolone

Pain behind ear
Last night I started getting an intermittent shooting pain behind my right ear. It’s continued throughout today. I had a GCA diagnosis over 5 years ago along with PMR but am now down to 0.5mg. I know it’s not a normal GCA pain but I’m just a little concerned as I’ve no idea what it is. I’ve just taken
