Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Just started Zytiga, prednisone and hormone shots for recurrent prostate cancer that has returned and spread to lungs. Just wondering if anyone else is taking these drugs and what their experience has been with side effects the first month or so. Thanks.

prednisolone interacting with contraceptives..? Is this a thing?
hello everyone. It’s been a long time since I posted on here but was just wondering if this is something that anyone anywhere has heard of or experienced? I’ve been taking 6mg of prednisone a day for over 5 years now. This is the absolute lowest dose I can stay at, any lower and I am so unwell I’

Well I ended up on 40 mg of prednisone with suspected GCA…😩 I was talking to a friend of mine, who said he was on 40 mg of prednisone and he was only on it for three weeks his side effects from prednisone were so severe. But apparently his GCA went into remission in just three weeks. He said he had

Medication Change mid-Induction
Hello, I have renal limited vasculitis and am wondering if anyone has experience with a switch from Rituximab to Cyclophosphamide after 3 months of initial induction therapy? My first treatment that started almost 3 months ago was Rituximab with Prednisone. At first things were going well with eGFR

Fet ultrasounds and checkup?
Hi ladies I've started my period abd alerted my clinic to prep for my last transfer that is a 3 day blast. I started estradiol 2/day (6mg) and am also doing an immune protocol with 10mg prednisone and 150mg baby aspirin. They advised me to come in for an ultrasound at cd14 to check lining but that

Statins and prednisolone
I have been on prednisolone for nearly two years, starting on 15 mg, now down to 6mg. Previously tapering at 0.5 mg every 6 weeks, more recently tapering at 0.5 mg at 8 week intervals. Now wondering whether to extend that interval further, after having had a bad flare. Following a recent diagnosis

The age thing...
I just read someone's issue with their rheumatologist denying PMR due to her age and that brings up something I've been wondering about. When I was going through a divorce at age 27, in an extreme amount of stress, I developed pain in neck, lower back and both hips. Over the years knee & shoulder pain

Prednisolone and blood thinners
As well as having PMR I also have Atrial Fibrillation. I was diagnosed with GCA in November and was started on 40mg of prednisone.
I experienced really bad steroid induced diabetes which seems a bit more in control now. I am currently down to 8mg of Prednisone, then 120mg of Glyclazide and 500mg of Metformin for the diabetes In the last few days I have felt very depressed and anxious. I am not sure if this is related to my

Introduction and asking for help interpreting latest scan results and thoughts on future treatment plan please.
Long time reader but first time posting.. I have just received my latest PSMA PET-CT scan results and would like some help interpreting the results and gain your thoughts about situation and treatment plan. My overall history: After slowly rising PSA scores to a relatively low peak of 6.1 at 59 years

ACTH Stim test after stopping abiraterone & prednisone
Has anyone had an ACTH Stimulation test after stopping abiraterone and Prednisone to test for adrenal insufficiency? I ended 24 months of eligard, abiraterone, and Prednisone on June 4. My endocrinologist (who I had prior to prostate cancer) pushed me to have a cortisol test on June 6 even though I

PMR,RA and diabetes.
I’ve just had a great appointment with my rheumatologist. My PMR started April 2019 due to stress. I’ve had the usual ups and downs, with a couple of flares. I’m now on 3mg prednisone and 40mg Leflonamide. This last was doubled 6 weeks ago following what seems to be a Rhuematoid arthritis episode in

Update
Hi everyone especially Dorsetlady who I promised to update. I seen my respiratory consultant today who is convinced the lowering of prednisone by rheumatologist to 10/5 daily ie 10 one day 5 the next has definitely caused my new right sided pleural effusion so he’s now increased prednisone to 30mg and
