Circumcision 2 week update
After 3 years waiting for a circumcision for phimosis in Scotland I decided to go privately as the Covid Pandemic will only delay the op further. I had the operation 15 days ago. This is my experience as a 28year old. On 23rd Dec I had the procedure, nervous as hell! It was done by local anesthetic

Fibro and menopause symptoms

Mild platelet elevation
Hi, I have been stuck in limbo with mildly raised platelets since March 2020. Started at 420, then 430, 440 and now have been 450 since October 2020. My gp freaked me out (I have anxiety) by ordering a number of blood tests and scans to look for malignancy. Some tests are still to be done but all that

GORD
You have not included vocal cord dysfunction cause by acid reflux burning the vocal cords. It causes changes in voice quality, makes asthma worse and makes intubation for any operation very difficult needing a consultant with specialist skills. I also found problems with PPI because I don’t tolerate

Itching.
I have no idea what I’m expecting anyone to help with but I get so sick of being fobbed off by doctors that I just feel the need to vent somewhere. To give a brief history I’ve not felt well since the birth of my 6th child 7 years ago. Exhaustion, sleep issues, period issues, I got diagnosed in 2019

Omeprazol query and formula change?
LO has now been prescribed omeprazole (thank goodness) for her suspected reflux. Is anyone else’s LO (little one) on it? How long did it take to see a difference? What time of day did you administer it? Also do you just use that or do you use gaviscon alongside it? We’ve also done a switch from SMA

Alternating ibs
Hi, I’ve suffered with ins for a long time now, been for tests etc and all clear although the last colonoscopy I had they removed quite a few pollops. I would say since then (a couple of years) I’ve really struggled with it. I’ve tried tweaking diet but only to find that what’s good one week isn’t good

Difficulty getting prescribed H2 Blockers.
I was prescribed Ranitidine when I was discharged from hospital last January 2020. This was then withdrawn and since, my pharmacy has not been able to obtain the substitutes which the doctors have subsequently prescribed:- famotidine, cimetidine and nizatidine. Does anyone know if these are now available

Stomach Pain, new here...
Hi, been watching this forum and would be great if anyone can shed some light on my issue..... I have had a dull stomach ache, middle, for over two months now. I have had an endoscopy, a ct scan with contrast, and neither had any issues. The consultant has said in a letter, no further tests required!

Oesophagitis without knowing it?
Hi all 3 years ago I was diagnosed with severe erosive Oesophagitis. I was much heavier than I am now, took 10mg omeprazole but still had indigestion, choking at night, hoarse voice, clearing throat etc. Anyway 9 weeks of low acid diet, losing 2 stone and high dose ppi and my Oesophagitis had healed

Fatigue and generally feeling low
After my HA in March 2020, I felt I was recovering well - feeling well and exercising regularly. I experienced some ectopic beats in the summer, which were checked via 72 hour monitor and deemed to be harmless - they faded away after a few weeks. Other than that life has been pretty much back

Laryngospams and Omeprazole
Hi I am new to this.site ..Does anyone have the problem of laryngospasm which seems to be triggered by acid reflux. It's terrifying,!! unable to breathe as my voice box slams shut and leaves me hoarse with a sore throat for days afterwards. I have been put of 20mg Omeprazole and I wonder how safe it

I've recently been prescribed fexofenadine, yet box says not to take it 2 hours before or after indigestion remedies so assume that omeprazole counts being a PPI or by indigestion do they mean like gaviscon liquid ect ? I'm struggling
