Hi there, I was diagnosed with gastritis in September. Honestly I have had all of those symptoms and still do to some extent but it’s more manageable if I stay away from trigger foods. Omezaprazole was no good for me and I generally felt unwell on it. I also notice it’s worse when stressed. I wish I had more answers but I understand how you feel. Once I started to learn more about the condition and trust that the symptoms I experienced were related to this and not something else I became less anxious and depressed about it.
Monsie is right, any food can be a trigger even when bland. It’s how your body reacts to it that’s important. So take each food separate and wait to see what happens if nothing after 30 mins then give a thumbs up, u now have something your gut will tolerate. At my worst I had only 3 foods I could eat, pear, banana and ? Boiled new potato without the skin. That was so for 3-4 mths.
U have lost a great deal of weight. Suggest u try slippery elm- small amounts at first. It coats the gut. Try taking it at night so u get some sleep.
I initially had to use this with a small amount of edible carbon before my gut would settle.
I assume u have stopped eating any yeast. This is sometimes called hydrolysed vegetable protein. Avoid it like the plague.
There is a lot u can do to calm the situation down, but answers don’t come quickly.
Hi monsie was the doctor concerned about the gastritis. Mine said mine was mild and no bacteria causing it and I can’t stand the PPi either. Is it basically a benign condition?
Make sure your ppi isn’t a capsule with sugar fillers.
Can u tolerate a smaller dose eg 1 tab?
If there is a lot of pain from the gall bladder then it may need to come out. Ask the surgeon to do another ultra sound.
Your diet is too many different things. You also eat mushroom. This is a fungus the same as yeast. Yeast in bread and soups and any mushroom can cause dreadful pain if this is what’s setting it off. It can even cause breathing problems.
If you are trying to boost protein lamb is the least likely to exacerbate symptoms. I don’t know that from personal experience because I’m vegetarian, but a friend tried it and it helped. She cooked minced lamb with diced fennel.
