Hi I'm just wondering if anyone has had a total hysterectomy after having decapeptyl SR treatment and has this made an improvement.Endometriosis diagnosis 2005 multiple surgeries decapeptyl injections 2.5 years and ongoing. Monthly pain and bleeding returning with a vengeance pain relief zomorph 30mg, naproxen and pregabalin now given the option of total hysterectomy. Any information would be amazing Thank you.

Unfortunately the answer is it makes no difference. I had a total hysterectomy after many different types of treatment and honestly I'm still in exactly the same pain. I did suffer from severe hormonal problems so it wasn't a complete waste of time, it was like waking up in a new world. If anything it's made life harder because most doctors believe endo shouldn't exist after a hysterectomy.
