omeprazole IBS/endo

hi, I often suffer from acid reflux due to my IBS symptoms with my endo in the bowel. I was given 20mg Omeprazole for 7 days (I’ve used it before so quite familiar with it). I have been finding in the last few days, that I have a really dry mouth. I know this is super specific, but just wondering if anyone else who suffers from acid reflux who has used omeprazole has also experienced dry mouth as a side effect? Any responses would be really helpful, thank you!

I don't have acid reflux but I do take the same drug and get a dry mouth! I had not put two and two together before so this blew my mind. Thanks for sharing.

yeah I’ve stopped taking it now! I don’t get the same thing with Gaviscon or Nexium, but Nexium is only 10mg of omeprazole, and I was prescribed 20mg of omeprazole so maybe it was just too high a dose!
