VM 3 times
I've had VM 3 times. The first was when I was 18 (1983) shortly after a car accident & it was intense but resolved after about one week. The second time was in 2011, was a milder case but lasted a bit longer - around 10 days. This time has been worse. I was hospitalized twice after battling it for

Advice for stiff joints
Hi I am looking for advice and tips on how to manage stiffness in my hands and feet. I have been diagnosed with lupus for 3 years and am currently 35 weeks pregnant, meaning I can’t take naproxen etc which I would previously take. The pregnancy hasn’t been a simple one with my lupus flaring so also

Tens Machines?!?
Hi all, I’m at the end of my tether with pain relief. Nothing seems to work very well. Currently on Naproxen and Co-codamol at night but they simply take the edge off the pain. I can’t take anything stronger cause I have to function, work and have 2 kids!! Has anyone used a tens machine for pain relief

Frustrated by my memory loss
Hi everyone, This is my first time posting and I'm really confused, frustrated and not even sure if should be in this group. Way back in my late teens (I'm now aged 50) I was doing what was then called a BTec which I think now translates as a HND in care work. I worked in all areas and went on to be

What now? Knee pain.
I have complained a few times of pains in my knees so did get X-rays done. Signs of sclerosis and effusion which I think is interpretation of radiographer and my GP says that means there is swelling. Bones and joints looking normal if that’s any consolation! That was two weeks ago but my left knee is

Medication to 'mimic' menopause
Hi. I have yet again been referred to consultant for my endo. I had a lap last December and they excised what they could see but it didn't really help with my pain. Went back to GP who referred again for another lap. However consultant said no point in doing another if 1st didn't stop pain. So has suggested

Tofocitiib - how long??
Hi everyone. I started tofacitinib 8 weeks ago and so far not seeing much difference. I've searched for the drug on this forum and found lots of info, however; I have a few questions that don't seem to be covered in previous posts. Can anyone share their experience of how long it took to take effect

Can swollen legs and ankles be a result of a hiatus hernia?
Hi everyone, I’m new to this group but couldn’t find anything relating to a stomach hernia . So just thought I’d ask . I believe I have a hiatus hernia as I get this sharp pain under my ribs whenever I accidentally get in an awkward position, ie lying down, trying to get up out of bath. Or tieing shoelaces

Keeping control of my life (any ideas?)- Living with pain in my back and all side effects.
Firstly Hi, my name is Dan i'm 33 and have had lower back pain for over 12 years now. I have been told by my consultants that the pain is caused by wear and tear of the small facet joints in my lower back, the pain is sever and now keeps my awake nearly all night. Over the years I have just soldiered

Legs!
I'm nit someone who cries easily or frequently but I've been sobbing on and off since yesterday. I am in so much pain I don't know what to do with myself! Went to the GP earlier to beg for pain relief but after listening to my chest decided I still have an infection and so I can't have strong pain relief
