Burning sensation in esophagus
This is a random question. I recently took a painkiller (coated Nurophen) for a headache without water and suffered a burning sensation as a result in my esophgus. Not sure if this was because RA does have side effect of dry mouth sometimes or if my esophgus is now inflamed due to my RA but I’m continuing

Muscle pain and aches
Some large flares but always got it back under control, but in the last few weeks I’ve been getting
muscle
ache/
pain
in my upper arms, shoulders and hands. It’s like a really bad cramp but not a cramp.

Lupus rash? And symptoms
Extreme fatigue,
muscle
and joint
pain
, face rash, dry hair (even my hairdresser commented it had never been like it before), headaches, raynauds. I've had multiple visits to the GP, who thinks I have fibromyalgia/cfs. I had a negative ana blood test.

surgery update: 5am, and after the clouds, the Sun!
hi all. Back! surgery went ahead, and my horrible tumour is now gone. It will be a while though before i dont need bandages, but….. It … is… gone! I managed to spend just one night in hospital, and shocked I think everyone by recovering from a pretty heavy anaesthetic in almost record time. Medical

PMR 15 Years On
After going below 4 mg
muscle
pain
increased slowly with PMR like symptoms and now it seems like full blown PMR. Shoulder, neck , legs etc. GP says there is no inflammation after blood test and it must be linked to osteoarthritis and does not advise going back on pred. Any ideas??

Aches and pains
Their symtoms all overlap which mainly consist and well documented that aching joints and
muscle
pain
are part of the condition. All though i acknowledge vitamin and mineral deficiency can play a role in these symtoms i believe they are a symtom of the condition itself unfortunatley.

Wish I hadn’t got Fibro diagnosis. Doctors won’t listen now
I’ve had back trouble since my early twenties. I’m in my 50s now. From time to time I put my back out. I usually get stronger painkillers for a week or so until my back rights itself. Now I have a fibromyalgia diagnosis doctor will not give me anything at all. I’m stuck in bed. Can’t move can’t sleep

Newly diagnosed PMR
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with PMR as recently as Friday 20th October 2 days after my 58th birthday. My symptoms started in July with neck pain which quickly spread till I was in so much pain, I couldn't get up the stairs without a handrail. My Inflammation levels in August were 16 which is why

Zapain analgesic
Hi I have recently managed to stop my pred after decreasing by 1mg every couple of months and finally by 0.5 -0mg. This took me about a year I would say down from 9mg. My question is regarding Zapain 30/500 … I have been getting stiffness and pains in all my muscles but I don’t know if it is the polymyalgia

Hi all I’m new here. I’m really struggling and don’t know what to do. I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago at the age of 28 due to severe endometriosis and multiple surgeries. Over the last few years the pain has returned but after visiting GP all I get is the pain can’t be endometriosis because of the

Staying on prednisolone
To be honest I have had so much
muscle
and joint
pain
since coming off pred it would be a relief to go back on a small dose. I have also had a slight flare up so I think my consultant will be putting me back on it when I see him in February .

Breaking teeth
Could this be related to the Lupron along with the other side effects I have enjoyed like hot flashes, fatigue,
muscle
pain
, and weight gain or just coincidental?

PMR UPDATE
Just get you up to speed. I found that 15mg of pred was relieving pain I had been experiencing for a year. I did not believe it was PMR because it presented differently then the last time. The pain is not bilateral. But my inflamation marks have been high for a long time. The relief has been so amazing

Vibrating Sensation
Hi Everyone First time writing, please forgive any mistakes I make I suffer terrible brain fog. This may seem like a weird question but does anyone on here suffer a vibrating sensation throughout their body? The best way I can describe what I have is a vibrating sensation, I have spoken to GP

Sharp increase in TSH
Hi all, After such helpful advice from the lovely people of this forum earlier this year, in June my GP finally agreed (fairly unwillingly) to increase my Levothyroxine dosage from 75mcg to 100mcg as I had been experiencing joint and
muscle
pain
, weight gain, extreme fatigue, and generally feeling terrible

Duloxetine - cold turkey and afterwards?
The worst withdrawal symptom for me has been the dizzying tinnitus and other auditory hallucinations but as that is subsiding now, I am controlling my joint &
muscle
pain
with just 4 paracetamols a day at present. I am however feeling rather fragile!

Nausea wristbands?
Hi! Has anyone tried and had any luck with using those travel pressure points wristbands normally used for travel sickness? I often feel nauseous, usually for the first few hours of the day and have tried ginger, painkillers, sleep and eating with no luck! Thanks in advance

Unidentified pain - PMR or not
I have a similar query to others re a
muscle
pain
, mine started 3 or 4 weeks ago in left hip/buttock area, it is not near the surface so I cannot massage it.
