Mirena insertion with local anaesthetic
So down to the bones of the issue: I am due to have a
mirena
fitted in january at the sexual health clinic using local anaesthetic. Before my last pregnancy I tried to have a coil fitted at the drs. Apparently all she did was put the clamps on my cervix.

Miscarriage Worries
Haven’t had any issues since; had my
Mirena
removed in 2016 as it was causing me long bleeds but declined any other hormonal contraceptives as I wanted to give my body a break. Periods have been light ever since and have had the odd painful period.

Had 5 laparoscopies to remove endo (and of varying intensity) over the years, tried
mirena
, excisions, contraceptive pills, hormones, etc but nothing ever seems to work. I'm now looking at hysterectomy (after being referred to BSGE).

First Laparoscopy
My Dr also inserted the
mirena
coil as well to try and reduce the symptoms. It's been just over 24 hours since I got discharged and I feel my bloating has gotten worse. Is this normal in the first couple of days?

Feel like I've been dropped after having a lap that confirmed/treated endo. I thought it would be monitored after diagnosis?
All of it was excised and I had a
mirena
coil fitted. The good news is, since my lap I have not had another episode of severe pain (yay).

Hormone testing
I'm not on birth control (I had the
Mirena
for two months and came off it three months ago). I've asked my doctor to check my estrogen levels to see if they are too high. Whilst he's agreed, he's not keen and doesn't see the point apart from to shut me up. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

What’s it like coming off the Mirena coil after 5 years to try and conceive?
I’m really looking for some experiences to be shared so I’m not going in completely blind and will know what to expect when I have the
Mirena
coil removed.

Pelvic pain
I had a
Mirena
IUD since March but just had it removed last week and then the pain really skyrocketed. I had an ovarian cyst removed last week and laparoscopy which revealed a normal uterus.

First gynae app, do I go straight for a laparoscopy or try the mirena coil first?!
She’s given me the option of going for a diagnostic laparoscopy now or waiting 6 months and trying the
mirena
coil to see if that helps my symptoms and then having a diagnostic laparoscopy later if I feel the need. I’m not sure what to do?

Zoladex and Tibolone
Hi, I’ve had endo for 20 years plus, had 2 ops was treated using
Mirena
but that doesn’t seem to work anymore so and am about to have my first Zoladex injection combined with taking Tibolone. I’m pretty nervous about it after reading others experiences. Any reassuring advice welcome.

I feel like I'm the only one and no one understands...
I was convinced that my sudden anxiety was caused by my
Mirena
and had it removed in April. Things definitely started to look up and I felt almost 100% myself again. The anxiety came back in October and completely floored me.

Mirena coil 3 months later...
Hi All, I had the
mirena
coil fitted early September 2018. My consultant wouldn't send me for another lap as I only had one last March, but I was in a lot of pain again and had constant periods.

Laparoscopy and Laparotomy
Only 2 days to go until I go in for my diagnostic lap. They are treating any Endo at the same time. Reading through the consent form I have signed for. Laparoscopy and Laparotomy. I have no idea what the difference is. Also I signed to have the marina coil fitted, but after reading the reviews I'm going

Dismissive surgeon, how can I change?
This doctor is very dismissive and barely listens to my complaints, but he agreed to schedule a laparoscopy, although he keeps saying nothing will be found and is pushing for me having a
Mirena
coil fitted even without a proper diagnosis!

Fluid in womb
Hello 😌 I got diagnosed with PCOS literally this morning at 23. My doctor has referred me to a gynaecologist as during my ultrasound scan they have found fluid in my womb and they’re not sure whether it’s relevant to the fact I’ve been spotting/on a light period for the past two months. Is that something
