Recently had a laparoscopy but found no endo or cause for pain, what next?
Hi everyone, I had an emergency diagnostic laparoscopy on 30th July 2020 and a
Mirena
coil fitted. My surgeon found no endometriosis or any cause for my physical pain, just that my bowel seemed a little full. The coil seems to have made things worse.

Mirena Coil, Awful Cramps
Hope you're all well :) I just had a question about the
Mirena
- I had mine put in 2 weeks ago during my laparoscopy. I know there are meant to be cramps and whatnot with them so I was fully prepared for the uncomfortableness that would ensue. But this is worse than when I had my endo flare ups!

Help with blood results
I’ve recently had the
Mirena
coil removed and have the most horrendously heavy period to the point where I can’t go to work. 8 days of full on bleeding. GP has prescribed Tranexamic Acid tablets which are starting to work, and I’ve just had another blood test. My haemoglobin is 105.

Hypergastric plexus block/injection near spine
I have the
mirena
coil which stopped my periods but has done nothing for my pain. I have been taking medication to reduce neuropathic pain with mixed success but I am keen to come off these.

“No convincing evidence”
But now they’re saying it can’t be endometriosis based on the results, and that I need to carry on with
Mirena
coil and just take the pill as well to stop the symptoms and pain. I’m concerned that I’d just be taking more hormones to mask the problem, rather than fix anything.

Conceiving after Mirena removal
Hello, has anyone has difficulty getting pregnant after having a
Mirena
coil removed? I’ve never had a baby and would like to conceive and have been trying for 6 months with nothing. My period is so much lighter than before I had the
Mirena
(although day 1 is medium flow).

Mirena coil hatred
Hi, I had a
mirena
coil in for 8 months since my c section....and it came out on sat. I was so happy because I hate it. I just rang the hospital department to ask about a different contraceptive and they said I have no choice but another coil. I cried on the phone to her.

Endometriosis- anyone had the same symptoms come back a few months after laparoscopy?
After years of pain, constant back & forth to doctors with mis diagnosis, i finally had my first laparoscopy back in February and the gynaecologist found & removed endometriosis plus fitted me with
mirena
coil. First couple of months after surgery I felt myself again and the pain wasn't as bad.

Haemorrhaging cysts/adenomyosis
Just very confused as the left hurt significantly more - and because I have a
Mirena
which is supposedly meant to prevent them from growing to start with... Pls share your experiences with me, and how you (hopefully) managed to control them!

Mirena coil and the combined pill
Hello I spoke to my GP and he’s now trying me on the combined pill along side the
mirena
coil. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Laparoscopy recovery advice
Hey, I’m 5 days post op after having my first diagnostic laparoscopy and a
Mirena
coil and I am still feeling awful! Really bad pain, nausea and vomiting and just generally tired and worn out. (I did also develop a bad throat infection after the op).

I am 22 years old and have been on the marina coil for a year and a half now. Recently I have being getting my periods and I'm worried because I havent been on for a full year. Start of the journey
I hadn't really thought about it as I do not have heavy periods and have had a
mirena
for many years.( I now know that not all endo patients have heavy periods ). I am now starting to worry.

Operation planned
Been having a
mirena
could since then but the pain is back as before. I have a few days ago been offered an operation on 22 August so have said yes. Now isolating at home and getting worried. Keyhole hysterectomy and removal of endometriosis again and straight onto HRT.

Chronic Pelvic Pain - Experiences and Advice
At the time I had an Inplanon, bit the Gynecologist recommended getting the
Mirena
. Ultimately we decided against this. I was told the laparoscopy/hysteroscopy was fairly normal, however she still thought endometriosis was a likely cause.
