FND and hormones
My doctor won’t let me take oestrogen without progesterone and has suggested the
mirena
coil instead of progesterone capsules. The thought of having a permanent source of progesterone inside me is frightening but without the Oestrogen I struggle to function.

Endometriosis and the Kyleena IUD
they could only give me the Kyleena, which I was told was mainly just a contraceptive rather than having any of the endo relief that the
Mirena
offers.

Removing Mirena coil to try to get pregnant
After changing a couple of times contraceptives, in 2021 I got the
Mirena
coil, and it hasn't been that bad, it has stopped my excessive bleeding and helped me to control the pain. Now, I would like to remove the
Mirena
to start trying to get pregnant and I would like to ask for your advise...

misunderstood peri -menopause treatment
No one treated me holistically and no one admitted the
Mirena
coil was the cause. Recovering and lots of therapy to help me with the most traumatic of experiences I went through. Contacted PALS and awaiting their aplology.

One year post endometrial ablation and lap update.
Mirena
coil fitted and bilateral ovarian cysts removed. All has been really good. I occasionally get verve pain around port sites from my lap but generally much better. No period in a year which is an unbelievable relief after months of flooding pre op.

Graves thyroid results
Going to see a gynaecologist however they will most likely recommend
Mirena
coil which I’m not keen on. many insights would be great.

Endometriosis diagnosis and dienogest
They also removed my
mirena
coil at my request as I wanted to know what it has been masking all these years. I'm due a post-op appt in 3 weeks and he mentioned prescribing dienogest to manage symptoms. Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm just worried about all the side effects of it.

Private care?
- Is it true that the mental/ emotional effects of the
coil are less intense than contraceptive pill?
Thank you very much for the time you have spent reading this. I realise it's a long post and rather vague questions.

severe lower left side pelvic pain that comes and goes? Urethral obstruction? Mirena related? Fibroid/hydrsospinx related? Colitis related?
So advised to have a
Mirena
. A recent ultrasound has shown a new fibroid and hydrosapinx in right side. As well as a bulky uterus. The pelvic pain is now so intense it is unbearable and have even visited A & E.

Returning Endometriosis with a vengeance!
The NHS haven’t been very helpful as I have been waiting for nearly two years for the
mirena
coil. I took matters into my own hands and got the
mirena
privately fitted as I would do anything to not be in constant pain.

progesterone only pill
I’ve also tried depot injection, implant,
mirena
coil, jaycee coil, combination pill and progesterone only mini pill. The latter has been the only one that works but it triggers silent migraines that affect my vision and create tension headaches when I’ve on it for more than 6 months at a time.

3rd laparoscopy
I had the
mirena
coil fitted at the same time so fingers crossed that helps. How did people find an endo specialist rather than just the gynae they send you to at the docs?

periods on mirena but no pain
I’ve had 2 laps for endo, have tri cycled the pill and been on tablets such as naproxen. Ive been so luckily that having the coil fitted during my 2nd lap has majorly improved pain and quality of life. I’ve had it for a year and bit and I’m on my 5th period. My dilemma is it’s pain free but how much

endo experiences
I’ve been advised that the
Mirena
coil could be a good option for me to try, but am slightly nervous considering my history! Does anyone have a similar experience or some advice they could possibly give re managing this? Thank you so much in advance!

What contraception with endo
Some nurses have also said that they were surprised I was advised the
mirena
coil to help with my endo as it would not stop ovulation, so I am a bit confused.
