Hello. Im complety lost and ignored.About 2 yeara ago i finally gor my endo and adenomiosis diagnosis . I waa offered mirena and or hysteroctomy but both solutions arent what i wanted and instead I have been doing researches ever since. Once when I could not take it anymore, i went to rhe Gp to ask for rh3 mini pill or othee treatment to see if it can help .
Gp refused to prescribe me anything telling me only the speacilist coud do that. Im in disbealive.
He refered me urgently to the speacilist gyne and it has been 4 months for an telefone appoiment wit a nurse next october.
I can not beleive a gp can notprescribe me the pill and isntead have me waiting sometimes suicidal due the pain.
This can not be right and that why im here asking.
I also have breast hyperplasia and fibroadenomas which hormonal treatment can trigger breask cancer. Yet nobody is talking to me abou that and only google is my teacher

Is it worth getting a second opinion from a different GP? Perhaps another in the practice? My GP has continued to prescribe numerous contraceptive pills as some have not worked for me, I’m not sure why yours has said no, the pill could help symptoms whilst you wait for the gyne appointment it makes no sense. Unless your medical history impacts that choice but if that were the case I’d ask for an explanation on that decision and make a formal complaint.
I’d agree about seeing another GP, also ask for a blood for hormones, vit D, B12, inflammation markers, magnesium and all the usual. If you haven’t had one for a while it’s worth getting done. There is a chance the GP was concerned because of other conditions but they need to explain that if it’s the case. It might be worth a referral to an endocrinologist as well and the pain clinic.
What pain relief are you on?
Treat the appointment with the nurse as though you are talking to a doctor, if they can’t help directly they will find out and get back to you.
