All of a sudden, a menstrual cycle after 10 years?
So I've been on the
Mirena
for about 6 years (had a new one put in last year) and before that I was on the Depo shot for 4 years. I haven't had my period in those 10 years I've been using these methods in order to control my endometriosis and associated pain.

More pain after having mirena coil?
They won't do a laparoscopy yet to confirm and wanted to try the
mirena
coil first. I had it fitted a couple of weeks ago on day 6 of my cycle (which I found horrifically painful) and so this is meant to mean it is effective immediately.

Hysteroscopy & Mirena
I've finally seen a gyno and I have an appointment in 2 days for a hysteroscopy and to have the
mirena
fitted. I'm pretty scared about the whole thing but I'm just at my wits end with everything and I'm praying the
mirena
coil helps ease the pain and bleeds.

Help after lap findings
So my journey started about 4/5 years ago id constantly be back and forth from doctors with extreme pain during my periods, sickness and headaches, I’d have periods lasting weeks and then away for a few days then back for another week or two, I had upset stomach during my full period and on the lead

PCOS and thickened endometrial lining, help!
I have a
mirena
coil with little periods (although I was actually just finishing one, so the lining should be at its thinnest). They have referred me to gynaecology for further investigations. They said it could be due to the PCOS but cannot be sure so need to investigate further.

Surprise diagnosis, big op looming, scared and relieved
Having suffered since i was 11, but blessed with 3 children, i was rushed to hospital last Wednesday with suspected appendicitis or an ectopic pregnancy following Marina coil 1 1/2 months ago. Turns out i have endometriosis stage 4, adenomiosis and bilateral endometriomas which are stuck round the back

Advice removing coil? And trying for a baby?
I have been told today that I should try for a baby sooner rather than later, I had the coil fitted a year ago to help with my endo and I have been very lucky and it's helped. Has anyone had the Marina coil and how long did it take to get pregnant,(I know we are all different but I need to work stuff

After 13yrs finally have an answer!
They mentioned a
mirena
coil had been fitted and I nearly burst into tears as I knew that meant they had found something. I then looked at the clock which was 16:50 so way longer than the 30-60 mins they were expecting. First words out my mouth to the recovery staff were “did they find anything?”.

Starting the endo diagnosis journey but I'm still not sure...
I opted to remove my
mirena
coil in the hope that it was this causing all the issues but I'm still suffering with the bloating, pain in my left hip, lower tummy and bowel, pain when going to the toilet (#2, it feels like piles but it's not). Has anyone else had the same experience as me?

Painful & Prolonged Period After Lap + Mirena
I had my first laparoscopy with a specialist consultant in Ireland, alongside excision of stage 2 endo and a
Mirena
coil inserted during the op. My recovery was great, but as my period was due 10 days post op I was unsure if I would have one.

Mirena pain/discharge
I don't have an endo diagnosis but it is suspected and I have had the coil fitted today to help with the pain. Is it normal to have brown discharge/bleeding almost immediately after insertion (Less than 2 hours later)? Also, the fitting was extremely painful, especially the speculum being inserted/opened

Mirena coil or pill - experiences/opinions?
Or, might it be best to opt for the
Mirena
coil? The coil sounds like one of the better options, albeit uncomfortable initially. I’m also not sure if the nausea is also partly down to the constant stream of painkillers I’m relying on to get through the days.

Interaction of Mirena Coil and Thyroid Levels
Can anyone advise on interactions between
Mirena
Coil and Thyroid Levels? I have finally got control of my Thyroid Levels with the right medication and diet, but suffering from intermuscular fibroids. My ferritin remains low, which GP thinks is linked to fibroids. Any help/ advice will be great.

Pain and cycle worsen after mirena?
Mirena
supposedly stops bleeding and pain as they claim right? For me it made things worsen or is it just my endo worsening? Any advice or tips or similar experiences? Thanks for reading. 😊

on the list for laparoscopy!
He did mention that regardless of the outcome, I'll need to have either the
Mirena
coil or the injection to manage bleeding. I don't want the coil as I'm not sexually active and it makes me feel uncomfortable, so most likely I'll go for the injection.

What’s wrong with me?!?!!!!
I had the
Mirena
coil fitted too and been told to expect pain but this can’t just be from that?! I honestly don’t know what to do next. I’ve fought for an MRI and it’s happening next week but it’s only looking at my back because I said the pain radiates there.
