What is the best way forward?????

Hi everyone I have suffered for 25 years I’ve had numerous interventions and scans etc and no one has listened really I was told to just “put up with it this is what happens”

I had a hysteroscopy recently and they cut out some polyps-5 in total and they took a biopsy and they placed a marina coil inside to see if that calms things down before yet another operation in which they are going to take away the scar tissue from my ectopic pregnancy 16 years ago, take away the endometriosis that they can get to and hopefully any endometriosis that is starting to attatch itself elsewhere.

I’m wondering if the coil works should I just leave it and not have the operation? I don’t want to be poorly again it’s consistent and I just think if something is going to work should we be messing about?

Thank you in advance anyone that takes the time to respond xxxx

Sorry to hear about your long history of endo and that you haven’t felt listened to. Sadly that seems quite common. I think all you can do is take it one stage at a time. See how you are with the Mirena coil, it seems to vary a lot as to how it suits people. Then make your decision about the excision surgery, based on how your symptoms are.I think you can only make your decision based on information from your gynae team, but it helps if you are prepared with the questions you need answered about the pros and cons. And of course you may have to be persistent to get the answers. Any good surgeon though should be prepared to discuss outcomes, possible side effects of treatment etc.
