Symptoms post hormonal treatment
I’ve had the
mirena
coil for almost 8 years (8 years post diagnosis) and I’ve started having symptoms again. No bleeding or severe cramps but bad back and pelvis pain. Has anyone else had this post hormonal treatment? Or am I being overly worried?

First Gynae Appointment
I explained everything, she pushed hormones on me repeatedly, just not
Mirena
as my womb is the wrong shape for it. She was against a lap, as she said they’d treat with hormones anyway, which I’ve heard a million times before.

Fatigue
I have endometriosis, but have a
mirena
coil which has stopped my periods. I have some pain at times, but it follows no pattern and doesn't cause me too many issues. However, I've had ongoing issues with fatigue for as long as I can remember now.

Experience with the Mirena Coil for Endo
Hello, After not getting on with side effects of Prostap, my gynae is proposing to trial the
Mirena
Coil. I'm due to have it fitted at the end of this month. I've heard mixed reviews - from horror stories (re side effects) to success stories!

Zoladex and bleeding
I’ve been referred to a different gynaecologist and have my first appointment with them scheduled for 23rd Feb, and will then be referred for excision surgery and possible
mirena
coil implant.

Contraceptive whilst on Decapeptyl - do I really need one?
And I’m scared about getting a coil fitted as I’ve never had children and I got a
Mirena
coil fitted years ago and it was a very painful and traumatic experience. I only have one ovary left as the other was removed in 2011 due to re-occurring endometriosis cysts.

No endometriosis found
Mirena
coil inserted. I’m really upset that I’ve been given no diagnosis or real answer to the horrendous pain I’ve been in. Just looking to see if anyone had any similar experiences ? Thanks , Caitlin xx

Cannot find an answer to this!
I’m tempted to have a
mirena
coil fitted to even out my cycle but can’t find anyone who can tell me how they found using it alongside thyroid replacement. I’m on T3 only so it’s far more prone to swings and other factors affecting it than levo.

Constant bloating and swollen tummy
In the past I’ve had a laparotomy and laparoscopy for ovarian cysts and my endo, I’ve had a
mirena
coil for years which stopped my periods completely, living without period pains has been a god send. But now I’m wondering if I have ovarian cysts again and hoping it’s not something worse.

Mirena and bleeding after lap
Hi all, I had a Laparoscopy 3 and a half weeks ago and a
Mirena
coil at the same time. I only lightly bled for 3/4 days after, but then my period came not long after and I’ve now been bleeding and cramping for 15 days!

Mirena removed and less pain?
I’ve had a lot less pain (so far) since the
mirena
was removed which definitely made my symptoms worse (pelvic pain) for the 9 months I had it. Has anyone else experienced this?
