In the last few months I’ve felt bloated constantly, my belly swollen, not much appetite, I get abdominal pain, especially when exercising. In the past I’ve had a laparotomy and laparoscopy for ovarian cysts and my endo, I’ve had a mirena coil for years which stopped my periods completely, living without period pains has been a god send. But now I’m wondering if I have ovarian cysts again and hoping it’s not something worse. Has anyone else had this constant bloated, teletubby feeling?

Constant bloating and swollen tummy
Hi Sparrow3, I just joined here yesterday for the exact same reason to see if anyone else is experiencing a swollen/bloated & painful tummy. I’ve had endo for 3 years and had a laparoscopy to remove it in 2019 and a few months later it was back but it was just during my period so I had managed to keep the pain under control with 500mg naproxen twice a day 3 days before and during my period. The past 2 months I have had a constant swollen/painful tummy which is making me feel so uncomfortable and miserable. It’s like a dull pain that’s there all day and I have to keep having a hot water bottle on it. I did have some naproxen yesterday which seemed to ease it so will see if that helps again today. I’m going to speak to my doctor to be referred again but it’s been a relief to know others are going through the same thing on here and I’m not going mad 😂, what I’ve read so far is that the pain can still be from the endo not just during your periods, I would ask your doctor to be referred to again x
Sorry I didn’t notice your reply! I got blood tests and they came back “satisfactory” but I’ve been referred for an internal ultrasound, so I’ll keep you updated. I think it might just be endometrial tissue that’s inflamed or maybe ovarian cysts. I don’t have as much pain as you seem to but having the coil has stopped my periods and the pain that comes with them, I know it doesn’t work for everyone though xxx
