Hi ladies please can someone tell me what this is as I've passed so many of them since last Wednesday with heavy bleeding and pain ... I've been on norethisterone again starting in Oct 16th 2021 but since the 7th Dec I've had spotting on and off till last weds it turned into heavy bleeding and I've been passing loads of tiny clots and whatever this is in the pic below, I have a gyno app this Thursday to see what is causing all my heavy periods that have been on going for 15 years now and my periods have gone from 9 days previous to now 3 weeks long each month!! I do have PCOS but not had any diagnosis recently to see what else I might have I am so scared fed up and tired daily due to the bleeding ... also since remaining on norethisterone as my Dr prescribed me more last week till I see my gyno this week tbh I feel they are now NOT WORKING as no bleeding has stopped and is just continuous daily ... has anyone else had this issue with norethisterone and also I need advise on the MIRENA COIL please is it worth it and does it reduce period length and also reduce bleeding at all or stop periods???

Hi I understand your pain I have had heavy bleeding since 2017, 2021 I started bleeding continuously, I had a scan and also the camera inserted to see what was going on in the inside which showed a fibroid, anyhow to cut a long story short had surgery no fibroids found yet I still have continued bleeding I am on northisterone thankfully it is working, sometimes I do pass some clots but rare now unfortunately I don’t think gynaecologist have concrete answers. I have not taken the Mirena coil as a personal choice. But I know the constant bleeding is the most scariest feeling ever. Hope you get a answer soon.

Hi I had the marina coil fitted yesterday morning but unfortunately after 5hrs I returned home and the coil was coming out it was in my cervix at the time and I had to go straight back to the hospital and had it removed I knew it would come out anyways as my body doesn't tend it keep anything like that inside I thought it would work but nope it came out .... she wanted to try another marina but I said no don't bother as it will do the same 3xact thing and come out! So anyways she has now put mye on the list for an endometrial albation to see if that works ..... but right now I'm still taking norethisterone to hopefully see if it starts working again as I've been bleeding since Dec 7th 2021 with spotting on and off all that month till last week it turned into a full blown bleed with desidual casts and heavy bleeding it's been so far 10 days with bleeding but I'm not sure if coming to an end or not as the colour of the blood is changing to an orange blood discharge and it seems to be lessening on the bleeding BUT saying that I've had that before then all bleeding returned after a few hours which to me is very strange indeed but hopefully in the next few days it starts to come off I'm still continuing norethisterone but will be taking a break from it next month or so but if bleeding still continues whiles on norethisterone I'll just end it this month sometime as my gyno said norethisterone does cause desidual casts and breakthough bleeds etc if taken to long as the uterine lining still thickens if u don't have a period then that when this type of bleeding occurs with passing of tissue ( desidual casts ) its very crazy indeed how theses type of pills cause this but she said most contraceptive pills and HRT pills do have this affect after awhile if no break happens and if you stay on the pills continously..... so best thing she said for me to do for now till the albation date is to have 21 days on norethisterone then have a 7 day break then go back on them so no build up happens
