Zoladex and bleeding

Hi, I’m new here! Just wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen.

So I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis after laparoscopic surgery in November 2020 and started my first round of zoladex in February 2021. This completely stopped my periods and helped eased my constant pain so it was more manageable and my quality of life improved. My final injection was in July and my period started again in September and I started back on the combined pill, this didn’t work for me at all and the severe pain and heavy bleeding returned, along with constant spotting. I’ve been referred to a different gynaecologist and have my first appointment with them scheduled for 23rd Feb, and will then be referred for excision surgery and possible mirena coil implant. To improve my quality of life it was suggested that I start another 6-month round of the zoladex injection in November, my periods stopped and my pain eased again. However, around 2 weeks ago my pain started getting worse and today I have started bleeding again. I guess I’m just feeling a bit lost and fed up, does anybody have any suggestions on how to cope with the pain? Is this something that’s happened to anyone else before?

Hi hope you are well. I’ve just come across your post whilst searching my symptoms. I’m in the same boat as you. I have severe endo and have been having the zoladex injections for 6 months now, I’ve felt amazing with the injections been able to live life more comfortably but the last couple of weeks I’ve started cramping and spotting again. Not sure why… what happened with you? Did you continue the injections? Did things improve? Xx
