Symptoms post hormonal treatment

I’ve had the mirena coil for almost 8 years (8 years post diagnosis) and I’ve started having symptoms again. No bleeding or severe cramps but bad back and pelvis pain. Has anyone else had this post hormonal treatment? Or am I being overly worried?

How long have you had your current coil? My first had to be changed after 4 years as I had symptoms come back. Around 4 and half years later I had the same again. I was told they are usually changed around five years but are designed to last longer but they don’t for me.

I’ve had my current coil about three years. My first one was absolutely fine and I had no issues at all but I’ve felt like I’ve had period symptoms almost weekly with this one recently but I’m concerned it’s more psychological and after the hoops I jumped through for an original diagnosis, I’m loathed to try again.

I had my third in October and whereas the previous two I’ve felt fine almost straight away this one I’ve had problems. I’d even doubt it was there if I hadn’t had it checked by the nurse. I can only describe it as my ovaries feel like they are swollen and painful. I hope you can get something sorted, perhaps you could have any ultra sound?
