Mirena and bleeding after lap

Hi all,

I had a Laparoscopy 3 and a half weeks ago and a Mirena coil at the same time. I only lightly bled for 3/4 days after, but then my period came not long after and I’ve now been bleeding and cramping for 15 days!

I’ve had my bloods done, which all came back fine, other than borderline anaemic.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? The bleeding isn’t just spotting either and I’m constantly tired and feeling run down. Any advice or reassurance appreciated xx

Hi,

I had a mirena coil fitted and was told it could take 6 months to settle down. Mine was less than that but I did bleed for a few weeks.

I had my lap on the 1 December and a mirena fitted also, I have experiencing exactly the same, cramps and bleeding seem to have eased a little today
