Mirena removed and less pain?

Hi. I’ve had a lot less pain (so far) since the mirena was removed which definitely made my symptoms worse (pelvic pain) for the 9 months I had it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have tried the mirena coil 4 times over the years all on the advice of a GP or gynaecologist and I get the same results awful stabbing pain in what feels like my cervix when a period would have been due. The last one I had I put up with the pain for about year and a half and finally had it removed and the pain vanished. Also for me it didn’t stop the chronic ovulation pain I have.

It must just not work for everyone but definitely made my symptoms worse! It was averaging at around 20 days of pain a month and no pattern which was mentally draining. Has the mini pill helped your symptoms?

Hi no I am unable to take the pill due to medication that I am on so for almost 4 years I have been on Depo Provera for me it has given a life back but again it’s not for everyone
